Truthfully, no.

I watch it.

But it is frustrating because it doesn't go anywhere and spends too much time trying to fool the viewer instead of just telling a good story.
My Bro in Law said kind of the same thing. I like shows that make me think. But if something is so off the wall I might lose interest. The Americans is my favorite show at the moment. But I still use just an antenna, so I have to wait for seasons to come out on Amazon Prime. And I won't be able to watch season 4 for like a year now. So I was told about this show. Finding a show with my wife is tough as can be, but looking for something...

The first episode of season 3 seemed more focused which was much needed after a shit second season. I strongly considered dropping the show altogether after last season and I still might, but the new episode was at least good enough to keep me somewhat invested

I like how USA doesn’t even pretend to try to bleep this show anymore. The first fucking word in this week’s episode was an F-bomb, followed by another less than a minute later.

How can USA do that, though? I thought there were regulations on the use of certain words at certain times? But even Fear dropped one in their season finale, so the regs must have been changed recently.

Don’t get me wrong. I like it. I think bring realism to the shows. I just don’t understand how they can do it...

I believe there actually aren't any real FCC rules for cable networks, just guidelines. FX has been dropping F bombs for over a year now.

But this week’s Mr Robot was a true statement episode. It would have been rated R if it were a movie.

I did a little research on the issue since I posted. It turns out you are correct. The FCC doesn’t have any hard guidelines. But networks are slaves to advertisers, and have self regulated based on that forever. However, I. T the last few years, networks (cable networks in particular) have made a point of pushing the line to test their advertisers, and they have received next to zero pushback.

I think this episode of Mr Robot could end up being a real game changer for cable prime time shows.

I think it applies to nudity as well. I know on some FX shows, we've seen pretty much everything but nip and actual penetration. Lots of asses, sideboobs, top boobs, grinding, etc. There should be a pool to take bets on what's the first show to display a nip

It was flashback episode, which I didn’t even realize until about 15 minutes in.

I think this is a show that needs to be binged rather than watched one ep at a time.

How could y'all not tell it was a flashback episode? They made that pretty apparent from the start. I liked that it filled in some details from that messy as fuck season 2. So far, this new season is much more focused. It's salvaged the show for me.

I was sleepy as fuck when it came on. I fell asleep a few times and rewound it and finally went to bed and then watched the last half the next day.

is this season (3) a flashback of how things started? I mean what's his name on the "farm" splitting wood and reading about his wife and the possible divorce, yet she is already dead?

Yeah, that episode is a flashback. It's filling you in on the details of where Tyrell was for all of season 2
