Who else is getting NBA 2k17?

I played the prologue/demo and its really good, though I still have to get used to the new shooting mechanism...Comes out at midnight tonight, already have my "My Player" made and ready to go, can't wait!!!

I probably won't. Got NBA 2K16 a few months ago when it was free on PSN. Been running a career and GM career on that which I'm not even out of year 1 on either, and usually only get NBA every other year. Demo looks fun though but no desire to start over so soon.

Waiting for reviews and the numerous PC patches that will inevitably be required because their PC release always sucks. I heard it is better than NBA2k16 and the stupid Spike Lee story is no longer there (although that's irrelevant after your 1st season).

I think I got NBA2k16 when it was $14.99 on sale. Spending $60 on a new sports game that I generally play offline (just like the mycareer mode) is a waste. Also, those sports game are riddled with bugs/server issues early on which makes it frustrating to me.

I wish they'd port MLB2K to computer. PC hasn't had a good baseball game since like MVP2005 LOL.

Nope... Have 2K16 and I heard 2K17 was just the same game just different music and a roster upgrade :noidea:

I will, but I cant believe it is out already?? Madden 17 just was released.

But kudos to NBA 2k17, they seem to try hard to update their graphics and games each year and their rating for the game reviews is consistently in the 9.0+ ranges.

Meanwhile Madden seems to year in and year out produce the EXACT same game with just a new title. Madden consistently gets 8.0-8.4 ratings....Really disappointing. I remember when Madden use to be innovative and all the rave.

I've got it.I usually just play the franchise modes by myself or some games with a few buddies. Never really got into the MyPlayer stuff. Has anyone found a good roster file yet for the Xbox One? The top downloaded ones are still missing guys (ie Malcolm Delaney on the Hawks, Nash on the 06 Suns, etc)

I'm having SO much fun with this game!!! I'm halfway through my first season, we have the best record in the league and I should get ROY, maybe even MVP???...I was drafted by Denver, not too happy about that but dealing with it for now lol...

Played a few games and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what, but how the fuck do you throw a lob? I keep trying but they always seem to get picked off.

I think its the Y button on Xbox or the Triangle button on PS4. Pretty sure there are 3 types of passes, lob, bounce and "regular"(each with its own button)...I always seem to use the regular so far, keep forgetting about the other passes...

The one thing I don't like about the game? The shot meter seems VERY inconsistent, especially on free throws...

Thought so. I must have trouble locating who to pass to with the directional stick then since the passes keep getting stolen. Most of the time now I just pull up the icons with the shoulder buttons and pass it to who I want the ball to go to.
