How do you stop Curry/Durant pick&roll?

I was playing NBA2k last night and I was trying to beat the Warriors. But then when they start using the "quick" line up which is most commonly known as the death line up of small ball, they began to spam Pick and Roll for Curry and Durant and I was like WTF?!!

I cannot do anything with that broken sht. And imagining it in the actual NBA game, I think it's even more deadly. You can't trap Curry, bcos Durant would roll and score easily inside or pop for a midrange. You can't focus on Durant after the screen bcos Curry would easily nail that 3. You can't switch cos Durant would eat any point guard on his face. How would you defend this broken sht? :noidea:

Maybe you stop them by calling Durant a coward and then saying that the Warriors lost all there depth to get him.

Personally haven't given this a whack yet, but generally i play as good a perimeter defense as i can but i know i'm gonna get killed on a lotta pick 'n' pop plays. To be honest i'm waiting for the 2k17 version to come out because there's usually going to be changes on the players. Btw 2K16 did better with Franchise mode and i'm kinda hoping THAT stays the same...

Yep, easiest way to shut down skinny jump shooters is play physical...

You can't. Your best bet is to be as annoying as possible on your mic in hopes that your opponent rage quits and you pick up the victory by default

Is that why KD and Steff have won the last 3 MVPs?

If KD and SC are both shooting the way they normally do, they are going to be close to impossible to beat. If only one of them is hitting their shots they will be difficult.

Klay Thompson is going to have a LOT of open looks.

There is no way to stop it. Most teams will probably end up switching, with worked decently when it was Draymond, but now you will have a small defender on Durant. Good luck with that!

honestly i'm kinda looking forward to the new season starts to see how this works out. all the hopes of everyone that want the "chemistry to not work" I think just MIGHT be in for a little disappointment...

Steve nash had 2 mvps, Derrick rose had an mvp didn't lead to much...Kd doesn't shoot any better than curry so if kd is taking extra shots that means less shots from curry who shoots a better %

Weakness?

2 all league type defenders in the starting 5 and a 3rd on the bench. Durant and Livingston are long and pretty good defensively. So is West.

Curry is average and Pachulia is maybe slightly below average.

If the Warriors switch pick and roll like they did against the Cavs, there might be matchups to exploit, but they are not "weak" anywhere defensively. They were #2 in defensive efficiency last year, and I bet they are top 5 again this year.

Regardless my point wasn't that the Warriors are guaranteed to win anything. I was responding to the claim that it isn't hard to knock skinny shooters off their game.

As for KD and SC playing together, that certainly remains to be seen. KD is replacing Harrison Barnes so he gets about half way to his season shot total simply by replicating Barnes' shooting. Prior to this season the Warriors kept Curry limited to about 23-25 minutes a game. I wouldn't be surprised to see Durant and Curry seeing at least half their court time without the other guy so they will be the primary shooter.
