Yeah I agree MD is 50/50 to even make the Dance and I don't think they will be able to play with the top teams. But I'm happy as just a few weeks ago they looked to be in the bottom half of the league, now we can go have us a season.

It'd be a tough sell for them to break into hardcore Philly basketball. You have the Big 5 and then even Drexel has a decent fan base.

Unlike Rutgers, they have an excuse for sucking so bad at recruiting.

That's why I think concentrating on Philly could pay off huge. They've recruited Philly really well the last 3 recruiting cycles. Chambers knows the area. Getting Nova's leftovers so to speak, is a good way to start to build a program. I don't think they'll take fans away from the big 5, but I just think having a presence could help with recruiting.

The best players in Philly actually usually go to Duke, Kansas, or Arizona.

In reality, Jay Wright does pretty bad in Philly, though he did get Kyle Lowry to stay. Ryan Arcidiacono and Daniel Ochefu were also from Philly as was Maliik Wayns. But Philly players usually feel very little loyalty to any of the local schools and the best ones almost always leave the city.

Penn State has probably outrecruited Nova in Philly in the last few years. They have quite a haul. Interesting to see if they can turn that into a tourney berth.

IDK how Hayes gets the BIG POY preseason pick this year. He was awful last season and now he's supporting the pay for college athletes and black lives matter shit. I have way more confidence in Happ than Hayes.

UW is returning everyone from last year, 2 new freshmen and 2 players that were on the team last year but didn't get to play (SG top 10 in country freshmen injured and SF played pro ball over seas so had to sit a season.

OOCS looks difficult and much of who we play depends on how we do in the tournament if we advance or not. Cuse, Oklahoma, Marquee , Creighton, and Tennessee are the notable games with 2 more potential top 25 teams.

UW finally has a top 10 recruiting class in 2017 which might be their best ever.

Michigan returns 5 players that started 25 or more games last year from a team that won 10 games in conference. I don't think the ceiling is too high, but at least we shouldn't have to worry about missing the tournament again.

Michigan has a decent class coming in 2017, but the 2016 class was pretty subpar.

Same with Wisconsin. I believe their 2016 class was like 50th but the 2017 class is ranked top 5. However, this year they get a top 15 rated SG back from injury and a 7 footer (missed all last season because he played pro ball over seas) that can shoot 3's better than anyone on the Badgers. Championship or bust this year.

Yeah, doesn't most of Philly not really connect much with Nova?

MSU racking up the OOC losses. Don't schedule two top ten teams early in the season if you can't at least split the pair you selfish bastards.

Doesn't help when they turn the rock over every other possession.
