Been away from the site and others for a while, while life has gotten busy. However, I did take a trip with some friends. 4 of us from Seattle flew to Lake Wylie, SC to meet up with a friend from out here. 1 from Chicago and 1 from Minnesota came along too.
We planned for 3 days. Friday-Sunday. 7 drinkers max. Bring the best beer you got.
3 Days. 7 Drinkers. 109 Bottles. Easily $2000 worth of beer and mead. It was incredible and well worth it.

Not drinking it but do have the six pack box and 2 unopened bottles from the mid 1990's of this shit. Think I got it in Wisconsin. If I remember it wasn't bad, but not great. Just loved the marketing approach.

From Minhas Brewery in Monroe. It's like 45 minutes from my house, and they only sell it in like 3 stores. They have a bunch of (really good) beers. The 1845 pils is the bomb.

I used to LOVE flying dog, I had their stuff mailed to my house and everything. But they changed a few years ago and I just don't find their stuff as drinkable. Not sure what happened.
