From a guy who knows little about bball I think no PF means the team is going small ball? I don't think it would work against the teams we drafted but once again I am no expert on this matter.

A no PF strategy would not be crazy at all, but I just don't know about the way you have done it. You have 4 centers, so you are not really going without a PF, just playing a center as a PF. Whether or not it will work depends entirely on the skill level of the players on the court.

For example, Rollins and Wallace would be an absolutely brutal combination offensively, but Divac and Robinson would work just fine. Robinson is athletic enough to guard anybody the other team plays at 4, and both have enough offensive skill that spacing would work just fine. It is really difficult to play with 2 low block post guys. 1 needs to be able to play effectively out of the mid or high post, or your team will have poor spacing and will be really easy to defend.

Tree rollins would be the last player off my bench... The way i saw it:

I have robinson and Wallace starting with Vlade Backing up robinson...

Then, i have whichever SF is on my bench(either McGrady or Dantley) double backing up each other and Wallace...

It would be my playing fast and small, as they both should be starters...

Tree, would be my emergency backup....

I don't see Tree playing more than 10 minutes for me... But i like having the elite defense for when he does play for me...

I agree with Lance, the NBA isn't the NFL where your size and skillset are so specific that you can't just plug a linebacker in at conerback. There's a lot more you can do with scheme in the NBA, it's all about being able to match up with your opponents strengths and cover your own weaknesses than whether or not you have a PF in your lineup. It will come down to how you match up

Playing Tmac but even more so Dantley at the 4 does more to hurt than help... For instance if I have in 6'10" Larry Nance it would hurt you defensively with Dantley being 6'5" but it would hurt more on the boards... The key to small ball is your 4 has to be efficient and it helps if they play bigger on the boards and defense... Tmac is more dangerous because he can stretch but Dantley likes to attack off the dribble and doesn't force so much pressure from deep... My PF would have to give him room to force the jumper and contest the shot... Zach Randolph would eat them both up on the blocks but would struggle more defensively since he's a little less mobile than Nance... Point is IMO, matchups do change the situation but when you give up size you lose 2 (defense and rebounding) to gaining 1 (offense)...

But if i can't play small ball, then i will play tree rollins more... and then my PF would be a center more often...

But then again, a basketball novice probably should not have attempted a strategy like this..LOL...
