Oh yes. I'm trying hardest to enjoy the summer here in the PACNW, but I haven't been this fixated on a football season in ages. Huskies and Seahawks.
We've been so patient waiting for the program to finally take it to the next level and it's looking like all the pieces are there for it. Not buying some of the ridiculous hype levels these analysts are slapping our program with, but got to love the love at the same time. I'd take a PAC12 champ and Rose Bowl this year for sure. Would be epic.

Beat the big boys of the conf this year. Start strong. End strong.

It was a lot of softball type questions at media day today, but two items specifically about players this fall that were mentioned was:

Q. Coach moved Jeff Lindquist over to tight end. Coming into fall camp can we anticipate any other position changes, any additions or subtractions from the roster?

COACH PETERSEN: The only other guy, and we did the same thing in spring, is Will Dissly playing more tight end. We moved him there in the spring, just kind of seeing how that goes, and I think we're going to leave him there at this point. Will is always a guy we could kick back over there if we had some depth issues on defense, but I think at this point we're going to leave Will at the tight end position, who played D‑line all last year. But other position changes‑‑

Q. People have been asking about Austin Joyner. He was such a great running back.

COACH PETERSEN: Yeah, well, Austin has played about three weeks of defensive football for us before he got hurt, and so he's still making recoveries there. So there's no talk of moving him at all. He's still in the secondary, and see how it goes.

Phil Steele reiterated his call that Washington wins the PAC this year. Wouldn't that be sumpthin.....

Not only for the trophy case, but also recruiting.

Let's do it. Go Dawgs!!!

And was also nice to hear that the husky box office announced over 3000 new season tickets have been sold compared to last years number. Montlake will be rocking this year.

I am in B1G Country, but I have been hearing a lot of great things about Washington football. Hope to meet you in the Championship Game. Of course, I would like to meet anyone in the Championship Game!!

We win the PAC and it could very well be a Wash v Mich Rose bowl this year if the committee doesn't take either of us. Our teams do have some history. And we got a OOC series down the road that's still booked. Rose bowl. That would be amazing.

I'm in Vegas this week, went down to the MGM and pulled the latest odds, Dawgs opened at 75/1 on January 15th as of today 22/1 (winning the College Football Championship) Now I'm not pulling the homer card and jumpin on the Natty chant, but it does show that the media coverage of the Dawgs is getting them more and more in the conversation.

22/1 for winning the national championship is nuts. I guess the hype is real and a lot of people must be putting money on them. I don't buy it yet though. I want to, and I do believe that Chris Petersen has the program moving in the right direction, but still, I need to see results before I believe this team can even win the North let alone a national championship.

It's cool too see the Dawgs being thought of.
and for the record no I didn't drop some money on them for that.

Bovada has the Huskies with the highest prop bet for over/under season wins at 10 so the books are looking to UW to take the Pac for sure. Many in the media are taking Stanford, but that's not what Vegas is saying so far.

Stanford is a must pick, they have owned it the last few years. Two things that worry me with all the odds and media talk is, Oregon. It's when they are not talked about the go out and have a good season.

Aight, you all can thank me.

Just got back from the enemy territory. Last time I was there? 13 years ago just before the 'streak' started. Should have undid that bad mojo. A few good days out on the beach didn't hurt either.
