i'm FAIRLY certain DeMarcus' comments didn't help matters either...

Apparently the Lakers turned down a 'D'Angelo for Cousins' trade. Quite funny as last year the Kings turned down a deal for the #2 pick (Russell) and Randle.

In time they'll go so desperate they'd probably be willing to trade Cousins for Lou Williams

I challenge anyone here to find one single helpful Boogie comment in the past 3 years. Sad part about ALL of this, he has been right for 3 years.

Nuggets - I'm sure you are shocked they have a fan.

1.7 - Jamal Murray, SG
1.15 - Juancho Hernangomez, F
1:19 - Malik Beasly, SG
2: 53 Petr Cornelie, F

Nugz seemed to have the guy they wanted in Murray (for the second year in a row) to them at 7. The worst shooting 3 point team in the NBA, they drafted arguably two of the best three shooters in this draft. I might have preferred someone that would give more immediate help than Juancho - but at least he does have one of the coolest names in the NBA. Seriously, I'd say Nuggets fans have a lot of confidence in GM Tim Connelly's choices of Euros. There were a group of players at 19 that I would have liked, but Beasly is a high risk/reward pick and a player easy to root for. Cornelie is a draft and stash that may or may never play here.

I'd give an A-. Loved that the Nugz added offense, but the D of a couple of the expectedtocontribute draftees are questionable.

Wow

The Kings don't deserve higher than a D
Do you care to elaborate on why that is? And saying some draft experts have them at D doesn't count.
Also, Chad Ford on ESPN had them at C+ and Sam Vecenie from CBS sports gave them a B-. Maybe you're not looking at enough "credible sources".

This says it all:

"For about 15 minutes, Vlade Divac was on track to be a winner thanks to the multiple extra assets he received from Phoenix to move down from No. 8 to No. 13. Any goodwill went out the window though when he selected Georgios Papagiannis, a Greek center who received tepid write-ups from most of the major draft analysts and was universally viewed as a non-lottery pick.

The Kings had needs at the one, two, three and four, and yet they chose to invest their top selection at the five, where All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, back-up Kosta Koufos and 2015 lottery pick Willie Cauley-Stein were already too crowded for comfort. Cousins’ Twitter reaction—“Lord give me the strength”—said it all."

And another one:

"Using two straight top-10 picks on centers when the league is moving toward small ball and outside shooting — look at the Warriors, Thunder and Cavaliers — proves Sacramento has no clue what it’s doing in the draft."

Need I go on? This isn't me hating on the Kings, it's pure fact!

Credible sources and you can't even list the people or website they're from? And are two quotes supposed to prove they deserve a D when I already listed 2 people who gave them a C+ and B-? When I said to elaborate on it I meant YOU tell me why this was such a horrible draft, not these other people. I guess the Kings are stuck with all those centers, they certainly can't trade one for a PG they like more than Wade Baldwin. Lastly, those are opinions not facts.

So, let me get this straight. They ignored positions of need to draft for a position where they, not only have an all-star, but an all-star who is young enough to lead the team for several more years. They did this hoping to then be able to turn around and trade one or more of them to get players that they could have drafted to fill at least a couple of those needs.

Maybe the folks who gave them a C+ and B- aren't as credible as you think they are?

1. The guy who gave them a B- also questioned the pick because of them having DMC and WCS, I guess he looked at the ENTIRE draft and not just 1 pick.
2. Were they supposed to take a PG who they might have had much lower on their board over a center they really liked because of need? The Kings need young talent and assets which is what they got. That makes me think you'd hypothetically pass on drafting a highly rated player for a lesser quality player just to fill a need.
3. That all-star who is young enough to lead them for years hadn't led them to 30 wins before this past season and could leave as a FA in 2 years. Maybe just maybe Papa Johns is gonna replace Cousins if they have to trade him, which they probably should do before he leaves as a FA.

I would consider a trade straight up for Russell for Cousins or Ingram for Cousins but not both and even then I am not excited about the trade and would rather keep what the Lakers have

It's like seeing a unicorn.

There are a few of us but there hasn't been much to write home about lately. They finally look like a team that could maybe just maybe start to climb out of the hole they have been in and be something worth watching again.

My god, you couldn't be more homer if you tried. Let me break it down for you:

Sports Illustrated are calling them losers
Biggest winners, losers from the 2016 NBA draft?

Fox Sports gave them (surprisingly) a C-
2016 NBA Draft grades: Pick-by-pick analysis of all 60 selections

Yahoo gives them a D
Grading the 2016 NBA draft

And those are literally the first three searches I found

Secondly, why did I think the Kings had a terrible draft? The same reasons most people who are't Kings homers thought they had a terrible draft: They had the 8th pick, traded down for it and what do they do?, they draft another center when they already have that position filled. A center who, let's face it, everyone thinks is shit! Then they draft Richardson who is a below than average player and will likely fail to average above 10 minutes per game in his career should he move to another team. And then to top it off... they draft another center

As for your last quote and sad attempt at sarcasm of "I guess the Kings are stuck with all those centers, they certainly can't trade one for a PG they like more than Wade Baldwin".
This is rating your DRAFT night, not what they do in trades or free agency. And your DRAFT night was abysmal.

Fact!

Bolts,

If I am grading not them, I think they got about a Solid B in terms of value, but an F for fit. I think that is why the draft grades range all over the place. The only way these picks make sense is if Cousins gets traded for multiple small players. Then I get it.

Ingram for Cousins?

I do that in heartbeat if I am Sacramento. No chance the Lakers offer that. Without considering the off court issues, Russell is not near the prospect Ingram is.
