The question with Cousins will always be is the headache worth the risk?

On Richardson, defensively -- the sky is the limit. Offensively, I get the feeling he has just about reached his ceiling. Hoping for more but won't hold my breath.

From an offensive perspective is what I was getting at. But given that he just finished his rookie season, we can't make that determination yet. Same thing with Winslow.

Rook 1 and 2 will be participating in summer league and will probably be our focal points on the roster during the summer - we will see how they are progressing at that point.

Heat, GSW --- and, of course, OKC the early favorites for KD-35

I think it has to be GSW or Heat now, with GSW the frontrunner. I get OKC and the pull. But they just dumped Ibaka. I get Arvydas Sabonis's son may be good, but OKC doesn't seem like it can win now with losing that good of a rim protector. They are worse off after that trade than before. He may elect to go back to it, I just don't see the logic if a title is your goal. If the title is the goal, GSW offers best shot, then Miami.

I believe KD's indifferent about the trade. The Thunder learned from their lesson with Harden where they traded him for peanuts. This time they got 3 quarters on the dollar as Ibaka was not happy with his role and would've likely bounced anyway after next season.

Yeah he sounds like a goner.

I was going to go with sounds little a bitter and butthurt - but " sounds like a goner" works just as well. He can either grow a pair or take his childish antics elsewhere

The whole I want to sign with a team the first day of free agency sounds like he is a gone for sure. As I said on the NBA General board he sounds like someone who is taking the first max deal he is offered which is likely to come from the Mavericks or Lakers

I see it differently.
How could he say he wants the best overall situation which would include several variables from other franchises/cities that he knows nothing about on one hand, and then say he wants to sign day 1 on the other?

Seems it would take time to analyze any situation other then here.

And, if Riley is going to offer the max, then why wait for others to offer first?

I want him here unless his reason for leaving is he doesn't like the tough love, work ethic, structure, etc..
If hes looking to get the cash then quit caring/trying/improving, then let it be elsewhere.

Ethan and other(s) on radio today voiced there opinion that Whiteside won't be back, and that it will quietly be what Riley wants.
I'm not saying I believe it to be true.
We'll know by early Saturday morning I suppose.

Any reason why they think that is what Pat wants?
