Been mulling over getting the new one, i still play MLB 14 and generally skip years

But after IMO the mess that is MLB 14, im kinda apprehensive about buying another sports game. I feel like the randomness has completely been taken away

Was just curious if these same issues, IMO, are still present in new game

- Check swing flaw.....in MLB 14, in replays you can clearly tell the check swing system is/was broken, way too many times you would get called out on swinging and i would check replay and it was, like really NOT close at all

- Game just felt way too scripted, i would score a run, CPU would come right back and score. Ahh yes, the good ole comeback code that all the devs swear isn't in the game, but clearly was or is

Just felt like the game...."broke", i dont know if it was the dynamic difficulty setting, too many saving games in middle of game and restarting games jacked it up, but towards the end of playing it, it just got.........odd. Double plays went up big time, balls crushed would instantly go right to the CPU, etc

I've tried it and like 15 better. There's definitely some graphics improvements compared to 15 (I play the PS3 version) but overall I just didn't enjoy it. I do know one thing I got angry at was when I was trying to change a couple of the settings, I'd do it at the opening screen and during the RTTS screen and then save them, it still didn't save them and reverted back to the original during the game. Also, I had heard that the online play was atrocious if you're into that thing but they could've improved that by this point since that was when the game first came out a couple of months ago.

I have MLB The Show 16 and it is worth it IMO. Better then the previous years and the CPU strength changes on how you are doing.

Example: If you get red hot at the plate, the difficult increases...same for pitching, if you are striking out batters left and right the difficult increases. OR if you are struggling the difficult decreases. It is a fun game that is the most difficult one in the series IMO. Good graphics too.

Its the only sports game to keep be occupied in the summer since NCAA FOtball is no longer.

I noticed similar things in my MLB 14 experience, but it was my roommates' console and it was the first time I played the series so I wrote those types of things off as series' problems and not game problems. I remember very specifically pop-flies down the 1st base line were caught with exceeding percentages, no matter the difficulty. The first baseman would teleport to where the ball would land. One time, he reached over the railing to catch a ball that must have been 20 feet into the stands. It wasn't a problem early on though, it progressed over time. I remember B.S. check-swings too.
