None more glad than SP, myself & Steeler Nation...

That is probably true - - the other playoff teams are probably not happy though. Hopefully Dwill is not in too bad of shape.

For those who find fantasy statistics interesting, here's one that surprised me. Historically, the 'experts' are correct 60-65% of the time. Well, looked back at the data compiled by fantasypro and this year there were zero that reached 60% overall. Going back to 2013 and beyond there has been a steady decline. In 2013 there were 9 that reached 60% or better, in 2014 there were only 3, and as stated this year zero.
So if you guessed wrong on the 'studs' or 'duds' you were not alone. ..... A testament on just how difficult predicting player success has become for everyone. ....
Also noted very early ranking are almost a reversal between WR & RB - WR now seem to dominate the first rd.

There might be something to the fact that there are alot more people included in the "experts" category these days. ..seems like anyone can get that title anymore, they're coming out of the woodwork

Well, yes the 'pool' is larger but the bulk of them hasn't changed so I take that to mean its just tougher to get it right now - certainly more so than when each team had one stud, every down, RB.

I should issues one correction though, Tlance has gotten it right for a number of years now ..... better than anyone else I know. ... so for the past three years there's a plus 1.

Im praying that D-Will has a mild sprain. But we should know more about it tomorrow morning, possibly even tonight.

hes out this week I believe
Hasn't been announced as such just yet... Tomlin said in his weekly presser that he is considered "day to day". It's a faint chance of getting him back this weekend, but I wouldn't count on him. It'll be interesting to see how the ground game fairs in his absence.

If my eyes aren't failing me, judging by your new avi, why'd you wait until AFTER the super bowl to turn it up to 11?

I will do my best, as always, but my run has to end soon! It has been pretty ridiculous.

@Sam Sportboy @Ram Tough

Sorry fellas, had to drop the rams off my favorite teams list here.
I'll still be following them, but my cousin plays basketball for TxTech, so the red raiders get the spot that kronke left vacant in my heart.
If no other fandom can come to me naturally, I'll be a rams fan for life, might just need to get the bad taste out of my mouth for a season or two.

Right as I was really believing they were turning it around too, dammit.
Might be 1-2 more season, but the Rams will be back in the playoffs.
Since the NFL can make so much money by having the LA team in the playoffs, they'll surely do whatever it takes to see that through.

Got a serious question for the Rams fans (Smo, RT and Sam).

Why can't St. Louis keep an NFL franchise? They remind me of Atlanta of the NHL who lost 2 franchises. The Gateway City has also lost 2 franchises. But while hockey usually needs a core group of fans to keep a city afloat, this is the NFL we're talking about. The NFL has fans everywhere.

Is it political? Is it the economy? Is it the size of the market?

This will probably get a little long winded, so stay with me.

1) Don't discount the fact that STL literally stole the Rams from LA, offering Georgia F. (RIP) suitcases full of cash to move her team here. That didn't sit well with the LA faithful, several of whom I had the pleasure of meeting. I worked at Dierdorf & Hart's steakhouse when I was in college (GO BIG RED!!), and pretty much had a different fan group from LA in town for almost every home game. Jim Hannifan (OL coach) would set up shop at the bar and tell old NFL tales all night long. It was pretty fucking awesome, even though I didn't realize it at the time. (yes, I partied way too much in those days)

Also, as a native son of the city, I can accurately say that most of the things here are ass backwards.

2) So what, you sign a bad lease, it happens.
STL isn't the only city that the NFL is taking advantage of.
But everyone involved in the 'Keep Rams in STL' movement were about 2-3 years too late.
You don't wait until the final hour to try to figure it out if you truly want to keep the franchise.
The city leaders should have been putting plans in place 5 years ago.

3) It's not the economy, it has nothing to do with the fan base, and definitely not size of the market. Almost all of the people that claim to be from 'St. Louis' don't live in the city. Shit, half of them (including myself) are on the IL side. Also, the NFL already operates in smaller markets. It's the 19th largest metro area in the country, even though the actual city is like 180th or something.

List of Metropolitan Statistical Areas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kronke was absolutely full of shit when he came out with his assessment of STL. He specifically did that so he could turn owners that were on the fence with his proposal. "How can I keep my business in this city if they hate me?" Well played sir, well played.

Corporate support was there, the city is currently attracting a lot of tech start ups with some fancy tax breaks that began a few years ago, but it's still 1/3 of what the NFL could have in LA.
NFL is peaking in US right now, and they are looking for ways to max profits while they can.
Energizer, Edward Jones, Steifel Nicholas, Anheuser-Busch, Nestle Purina and others would buy out entire sections of The Dome back in the blackout days to keep the games on TV.

Also don't forget this little tidbit:
In 10-15 years, the NFL will hold a new group of cities hostage, threatening them with moving their franchise to STL if they don't build a new stadium or whatever the NFL wants from the public 10-15yrs from now.

Sad to see the Rams leave St Louis. I usually hate all L.A teams but will have to swallow my pride and follow them to the city of Angels.

I am excited about the market they will have in L.A. Players will now view the Rams as a great destination.
