The only way Kobe has another shot at a sixth title is to play out this year as good as possible and be the mentor to a losing team of rookies like a mature adult would. Mature as in he knows nothing happening this year. Then next year play for a team that has a chance with Kobe at his limited playing ability. My mind would go to Cleveland as an excellent example - They sign Kobe for between 2 and 5 million and Kobe helps Lebron and the others win in a similar fashion that Ron Harper helped the young Shaq and Kobe win their first. Warriors already won without Kobe, so they don't need him and Kobe wouldn't be enough to help Miami or the Bulls.

That's the only way we will see Kobe win another title because if he waits until the Lakers are ready - he would be at least two or three years older. I still like what I am seeing and I still think that this young group is going to be really good, but you don't learn how to win without playing in the real games like they are doing and playing without experience usually means losing a lot of games. It's called bitter medicine - like Nyquil. So drink it up and say yum yum

If I'm not mistaken, I think Tyson drew inspiration from Ali and promised him that he would knock Berbick stupid in that fight.

Awesome if true.

It was unreal how Berbick kept getting up just to face plant continuously :L

On a unrelated note...

I just saw the Movie Creed.

If you are a Rocky fan, you will Love it.

The Cavs dont want or need Kobe....Jr SMith is shooting over 40% from 3....thats fine....Kobe would just take shots away from better scorers like Love, Irving, JAmes...

That's easier said then done - the Lakers did fine with Shaq and Kobe carrying the team, but in their first and third championships - the reason they won was because they had closers like Ron Harper and Robert Horry for those miracle shot. If Cleveland were able pick Kobe up for a 2 million, it would be the best investment they had, because there is only one team that was so good they didn't need another player to help and right now that team is something like 13-0 and on their way to their 2nd title.

But I don't think Kobe will do it - He has already stated that the preparation and work to maintain that level to play is taxing - He sounds tired, he looks tired and walks like he's tired. He is tired physically and I think he is mentally tired. When you reach that point where you are too tired mentally to compete - it's time to retire. Kobe can take a year off and then come back in a coaching position, but he is ready for a break

Doc Rivers loses again.

If they are sitting below .500 by mid-december....he might want to find out what Kevin Mchale is doing for fun.

Of all the things, that one is the most head scratching. They have a ton of talent and added a ton more.

Golden State dropped 44 in the 1st tonight
Yeah I'm fully expecting to lose. The Warriors do get an amazing amount of ticky tack calls to go their way. The Suns style of play is similar to the Warriors so I'm still holding out a chance. Fight fire with fire.

Also here's a fun fact: the Suns have ended opponent winning streaks of 15 or more games 6 times in franchise history, twice as many as anyone else in the league.

The Suns are shooting 57%. Bottom line is these are two great offensive teams. Difference is the Warriors have Steph Curry.

SPURS just decided to reinvent themselves again just for the hell of it again.

They got bored with TD manning the low post defense in the early 2000s
They got bored with winning as a layup drill for Parker and Ginobili in the mid 2000s
They got bored with all that beautiful passing basketball of the 2013-2015 finals runs
Now they just want to run traps and take stop and pop offense in isolation sets

For a consistent boring team, they literally do a wholesale change in the style of their game every few years.

I'm not even mad at the Suns effort tonight. We would beat 90% of the league with this effort. The NBA right now is just the Warriors and everyone else. It's not just Curry, their whole team makes it look so easy.
