that is being tough... I loved the creepiness of Killgrave... thought he was actually THE BEST marvel villain so far in any project...

The former Dr. Who does a fine job. I waiting to finish the series before I make a final verdict.

Finished watching and it was very good for the most part. A little too much "girl power" for me, for instance, Trish bossing around a former Spec Ops supersoldier? That's a little too hard to believe, seems as though every female was stronger than the males. The acting was a little flat in a few scenes and as Cal said, the pacing could have been better but overall pretty good. I'd agree with Cal's score of 7/10.

I guess the ending was believable, Killgrave was still in love with Jessica and willing to control her again instead of killing her or causing her pain but he could have gone a step further and actually gotten on the boat with Trish to make sure she wasn't faking. But, like with any show about superheroes, suspension of disbelief comes with the territory. I've heard some comments about there being very little humor but I disagree somewhat, the humor was there it was just very dark humor. Overall, it was enjoyable to watch, I wouldn't say it was better than DD but definitely worthy of comparison.

I think Tennant REALLY established his acting chops here. Not like he was a slouch before (he was very good as the Doctor and his run in Fallschurch was good as well), but I think this will propel him to another level.

Definitely, I was kind of disappointed when he died. I wouldn't have minded if he got away so he could come back at some point in the future.

I understand why she was bossing the special ops guy around. I mean it just goes to show how much he did "care" for her regardless of the pills he was taking.

Killgrave getting fooled at the end was great! I really thought the sister was a goner though but alas I was wrong. Now is he truly dead? I can't believe he is truly dead. And I really like this dude as an actor he was great!

I also finished watching the season yesterday. When does it start up again?

No word. Netflix does not work on a regular schedule, so no telling. I think a second season has already been ordered, though.

Yeah I figured there wasn't a time frame for it to return, which sucks!

Killgrave has to come back, he was such a pivotal character.

I do know that Jones and what his name (guy who skins is unbreakable) get married (spoiler alert)

Finally finished the series. The last 5 episodes really saved it for me. That said, the best part by far was Killgrave. I wish he wouldn't have been killed off, although you never know what may transpire down the road.

I sure hope they have plenty of crossovers in these Netflix shows, which I assume they will. I think this series in particular will need it.

I suspect the netflix shows will have more crossovers than we will know what to with. They have already had the Night Nurse appear in both, and Simpson is a DD rogue (Nuke), so he is almost guaranteed to make an apoearnace in DD at some point. JJ will have to make an appearance in the forthcoming Cage show, as she is too interwoven into his story not to include her. And of course, The Defenders will be a collaborative series with everyone.

finally watched "Daredevil" and I see where Rosario Dawson's character comes into play with that show and then in the case with Jessica Jones when she say's, "not my first time seeing this"

Netflix has really turned out to be the class of the MCU. Great additions so far!

Is DD2 next, or is Cage next?

Cage says April as of now.

But I highly doubt they release two shows at once.

Best guess is DD in April again and Cage summer while JJ should be back in November.

Maybe Cage would get a winter/spring release but that's close upon us with no news.

I really liked it. With the exception of Simpson I thought the acting was great. I'll miss Killgrave but I was glad they killed him because it fit the show.

Looking forward to Luke Cage. I hear Marvel really likes the street level things they have on Netflix and they are worried that Iron Fist is too mystical. I don't disagree, but just tone that down. Stay in New York (please no Kun Lun) and for lack of a better term make him like a slayer in that there is only one at a time. No need to get too mystical.

At least when I was growing up DC had relatively perfect characters that were unrelatable. Marvel had flawed characters with real life problems. That's why I was a fan growing up and never followed any DC property beyond the movies.

my fiance made a good point.... How many episodes could you really watch (or for Marvel to make) of Killgrave getting into people's heads to do things... You need to move on and get other characters. But yes, I'll agree with you, I liked him as well. Dude was creepy as shiat!

Simpson seemed off to me too.

Is Purpleman Kilgrave?

I'm not familiar with the JJ universe except for the fact that Luke Cage plows the shit out of her. lol

Yes. I am not sure they actually use the name in the show, though. They certainly use Purple as a visual technique throughout the season, though.
