Cyborg truly doesn't make sense for the UFC so I won't go there. Amanda Nunes is interesting. Seeing if Tate can find more success as well to me personally though Ronda's improved so much since that second fight.

I agree 100%. She hasn't been too impressive and her punching has been mediocre at best which is awful for fighter with her status. I think HH will have to focus on her bread and butter for the Rousey fight so I imagine her striking will be improved?

Even with Holm being unimpressive, I have a feeling this fight isn't going to go the way everyone expects. Not saying Holm will win but possibly wobble Ronda if Holm can get her striking back. Those heavy underdogs are the ones that should be feared most IMO.

She's been striking for like 20 years. She isn't improving, nor does she have that rare punching power. Honestly her best chance is to keep distance somehow and land more than Rousey. She had a split over Pennington and last fight was just a let down for me personally. I don't see it. Feel while her technique is better, Tate's actually been showing some power.

I really liked the promo...particularly the extended one with Holm in it. Under no illusions though I think this one lasts as long as Rousey wants.

Two other opinions, one someone who knows nothing about UFC (I asked her to watch it), and the other a casual fan from work who talked about it. The one who knows nothing said it looked like one is the underdog who doesn't have much chance to win. The casual fan loved it and he's more excited to watch the fight.

Yes and Holm is a heavier underdog than usual with only 1 quality win out of 2 UFC fights and just recently broke into the bantamweight top 10.

I think it's likely Holm would have made more money working that SW fight scene fighting like she was. Clear favorite in every fight and all the fans selling out events for the Preacher's Daughter.

Cool thing is she knows all that and chose to fight in the UFC anyway.

Its gonna take a buster douglas to end Rouseys dominance, Dana is just looking for one. Anyone can get caught, but Holly needs to sprint around the cage as long as she can not letting Ronda even touch her and maybe catch her with a right hand when she is chasing. It would be a better shot than going after her at the starting bell. Ronda is so fired up at that point, nobody is sneaking into her.

Definitely not. Someone upsetting Rousey is the last thing he wants to see at this point. She's $$$. The bigger her legacy gets, the better. He wants intriguing matchups that are marketable. Holm provides that, but Rousey is a huge favorite for good reason.

After Holm's....does everyone think Tate is next? She was in-line before Holm. FS1 just showed Tate vs. Rousey II. Rousey beat the hell out of her. I think it will be more of the same. It will either be quick or a ass beating.

I could see Tate-Rousey III, or I could see Tate fighting Nunes next, with the winner of that fight getting Rousey. I think that'd make more sense from a timeline, buildup, etc. perspective.

Pena is back, but she probably needs at least one more quality win before getting a shot. Zingano will be back, and likely get another shot, if she wants it, but that'd be further down the line.

She couldn't armbar any male fighter on the UFC roster, forget champions, I'm talking the 1st fight of the night scrubs. Watch any of the hundred videos of Ronda sparring with legit guys, they are literally going 10% to her 100% and still rag doll her

To me, Ronda comes off as hypocritical by not fighting Cyborg. She openly talks about fighting men, when she knows she would get smashed, but hides behind her 135 weight class as why she won't fight Cyborg at 145, when she is on record as willing to fight Carano at 145 a couple of years ago. Ronda walks around at 160. Fighting at 145 would be no problem.
