The F-1 boys are in Ruseki-land this week-end for the Russian Grand Prix at Sochi. This track has some serious straight-a-ways that speeds can get up there. We shall see if the Ferraris continue their assault on Mercedes.

Massa, Vettel, and Bottas are the top three in Practice Two as the rain cancels the rest of practice. The closest Silver Arrow is Rosberg in 9th. Yikes.

After Qualifying it's the usual front row (although reversed), and Bottas in third with Vettel 4th.

Hamilton gets better starts, Rosberg seems to chunk it on this track. I will take:

Why didn't I pick Bottas? Because Williams has semi-trained monkeys in the pits

Hamilton did overtake Rosberg because he bowed-out and now Vettel is second and there is a fight for third. Interesting race with the continued mystery of whether or not Red Bull returns ti F-1 next year.

Is Rosberg's title hunt now over? - Good result for Perez (taking advantage of the Kimster's screw-up, but nonetheless).

We were pretty evenly split on this one:

forty_three & Forty_Sixand2: 8 points each - picked the top to finishers correctly
IndyAndy, Retroram52 & Hank Kingsley: 6 points each - picked Hamilton to win/got Vettel out of position.

I think you could see on Rosberg's face that he feels this is over. Poor guy, it just isn't his time.

Now he's behind Vettel by 7. Ouch.
