I am rooting for JDD but really he isn't the prototype FB you look for. He's too tall. You really want a FB at around 5' 11" and have big lower body ( big butt and thighs). JD runs to upright because of his height. He does possess the Te body but unfortunately Denver has too many as it is. Casey and Thompson are his downfall for Fb roster spot. IMO of course

Interesting point about how Duncan's height could be a liability as a FB.

Howard Griffith was the best Broncos fullback of all time and he was listed at 6'0," but he was probably 5' 11" and 230 lbs.

Griffith was well proportioned - I will grant you that.

With Mathis signed - Garland is surely gone. If Garland is gone - I bet Elway hires him in another off the field capacity in the near future.

Yeah Mingo, I was hoping Garland would make an impact on STs thus making his value as a back up worth a roster spot and maybe it will. He is a keeper (imo )at least in some capacity for Denver somewhere I hope. Great Guy!

One of the more underrated players in Broncos history, IMO. Would love to have a FB like Griffith on the current squad.

So far the cuts have been

Zac Dysert, Joe Don Duncan (this is my least favorite so far...loved the fight of this kid), Tevrin Brandon, Andre Davis, Jeff Heuerman (went to IR), Spencer Lanning (Colquitt is our starting punter now), Ross MAdison, Jake Murphy, Jeremy Stewart, Chase Vaughn, and Reggie Walker.

I think there are 4 or 5 more to go.

Our cuts seem pretty easy this year minus a few positions..

Not real intriguing.. The harder they are the better your team is.

I would disagree a little. WR, ILB, OLB, Corner are all positions with some interest in who we cut. There is a good chance that I would say 4-5 of our guys we cut get picked up by others.

Well based on just what I've read from last nights game, if Ball was on cusp, based on his performance he`ll be one of them. Very Trent Richardson-esk. Based on the passing stats and on the 3rd down conversion success by Cardinals Qb`s....I`d say some Dbs are definitely in trouble. :(

Curtis Marsh better be one of them cut. He was supposedly doing well in Camp but QB's before last night's game had something like 105 QB Rating throwing his direction and that was 2nd or 3rd string type guys. Not impressed with his play.

Yeah Cd. Of most the dbs I've looked at, Marsh stood out as struggling the most. Too bad his size didn't translate to skills as well. Another guy who I still like and root for,Webster has had his moments but was basically disappointed with his overall play. I expected more from him this yr.Steady play wise anyway. I haven't got to see game yet so maybe he showed up better vs Cards.
