Was listening to my local ESPN radio, and they were talking about Brady.
If he still plans to appeal, or challenge the ruling, that could mean that Brady gets to play immediately, but if he loses the appeal (as these things tend to drag on), he could end up serving his suspension later in the year.
Which is bad news for the Pats as well as fantasy owners.

"Specifically, Jones "expressed confidence" that Randle can handle the load as Dallas' lead runner. The Cowboys are expected to mix on Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar, but Randle is in position to open the season as the starter. A fifth-round pick in the 2013 draft, Randle is a questionable talent, albeit one poised to run behind the NFL's premier offensive line. Randle's fantasy stock is sure to skyrocket to the point where he's an aggressive-bordering-on-reaching fantasy pick by the end of August."

BB getting into game shape...

Running back LeGarrette Blount failed his conditioning test at the start of New England Patriots training camp Wednesday, Ben Volin of the Boston Globe reports.

Blount completed only a dozen 50-yard sprints in under eight second each; 20 were required to pass.

As a result of his failure, Blount was placed on the Patriots' non-football injury list.

Players failing their conditioning tests isn't necessarily a rarity in the NFL. Blount will get another opportunity to prove he's up to snuff and chances are he'll pass the bar soon enough.

That said, it's noteworthy that Blount, finally the clear-cut starter in New England, showed up to camp in anything but the best shape of his life.

And it's especially noteworthy because Blount is suspended for Week 1, which means he'll miss a week of practice and conditioning. Blount can't afford to waste valuable prep time.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick has proven to be among the most fickle coaches in NFL history when it comes to shuffling his running back depth before and during the season. Nothing, not even a roster spot, is assured for Blount at this time

Everyone wants in...

Steven Jackson is looking for a job and the free-agent running back isn't shy about who he wants to work for.

Jackson dropped a subliminal message on social media. Take a look at what he had to say on Thursday:

There's an open competition in Dallas at running back with Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden, the two leading candidates for the No. 1 spot. But apparently Jackson thinks he's the answer in the backfield for the Cowboys.

Jackson was once a premiere running back in the NFL, but Father Time has caught up to him. The veteran enjoyed the best years of his career with the Rams. He holds the franchise record for most rushing yards and was selected to three Pro Bowls while playing in St. Louis. Yet the running back never lived up to expectations after signing with the Falcons in 2013.

In the meantime, for Jackson's sake, there's no word if Dallas sees the light.

Now that would be interesting. Not sure how I would feel about Jackson chances if he was a Cowboy, but I'd like to see him get the chance.

Odd...I remember that draft, I was dead certain the Boys would take SJAX in the first, but they passed, traded out of the first round and took Julius Jones. Jackson was later openly upset, apparently he thought they'd take him too. And now that he's a has been, he thinks they should take him? ?

I'd rather see Rice or CJ, they'd have much more to offer

So Seattle finally has to play with the same deck of cards. They will lose alot of talent now that they have to pay for it.

Not criticizing because they have been drafting extremely well but all that talent wont stick together in the salary cap era.

Matt Forte: 'Catching 100 balls is not my goal'
By Kevin Patra

Matt Forte set an NFL record with 102 catches from the running back position last season. The Chicago Bears' tailback doesn't plan on duplicating that performance in 2015.

Play NFL Fantasy Football!

"Catching 100 balls is not my goal as a running back," Forte said Thursday, per the Chicago Tribune.

Under new coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Adam Gase, the Bears plan to run a more balanced attack than the previous administration.

"If you're running the ball and you can run it effectively you get to control the clock and keep other offenses off the field," Forte said. "Which is what we want to do. If we can control the game, control the pace of the game, and grind out tough yards and score, then that's what we're going to do."

Forte is one of the most overlooked running backs in the NFL and one of the few workhorse running backs in a league engulf by the committee approach. Forte should see an increase the 16.3-carries per game he garnered last season.

One of the biggest beneficiaries of the Bears becoming more balanced on offense is -- in theory -- Jay Cutler. Relying on Forte and the ground game should increase the quarterback's efficiency and lessen the boneheaded mistakes.

Fox told NFL Media's Stacey Dales on Thursday that leaning on the run game in 2015 will be Cutler's "best friend."

Hoody: "That's already been addressed"

And Chancellor, Mr. Just Signed an Extension and has 3 years left, is threatening a hold out already. Smh
That's the price teams pay for holding on to their ability to cut guys and not pay them.

Me, I think the salary cap should only apply to active players, a separate salary cap should cover guys who are cut (who would still get paid a diminishing percentage of their salary), and failing to show up for games or practice without prior league approval would mean that nobody, including your current team, could sign you to better terms for two years.

Then these contracts might mean something.
