To be fair you guys seem decent all things considered. Plus my board is dead and the other OSU poster here seems to be a decent guy but like myself can turn into a loose cannon.

In general terms if I start something calling you trailer trash or reference Tyreek Hill and/or Joe Mixon and assault towards women I'm probably trolling so take it as is. Otherwise ill make an attempt to be decent myself.

Also with all due respect you guys better hope Kendell is the real deal. I'm guessing Riley (great hire btw) has known the kid forever so it's his guy and the future is good. Considering our depth and current recruiting at linebacker that interaction should be fun to watch for the next half decade or so.

The thing is your current situation. You have a 2 qb race-one guy you are pinning the season on and the other you have little faith in. The third qb is supposedly on their heels, but I think was coachspeak as Cody Thomas made Nate Hybl look like Dan Marino.

But really if Mayfield is the guy he should be separating himself right now. Knight just doesn't have it so it's Bakers to lose. But he has lost it before when he was a walk on at Tech. I'm sorry your running game scares me but I'm taking a wait and see approach with your qb play.

Re-reading this I came across a little more dickish than I intended.

As a mea culpa I offer the following: if discussing the OU qb conversion with OKST fans admit Knight and Mayfield have a lot to learn and compare Riley to Meacham.

There are enough playmakers on the offensive side of the ball now that we should win those real close games that we lost last year. If that is indeed the case we have a very good likelihood of going 11 - 1. The addition of Dede Westbrook...the unforeseen emergence of Mark Andrews not to mention our woman beater being able to play this year....look exciting if we get slightly better QB play.

I'm not too worried about it honestly, Bob has painted himself into a corner and knows if he doesn't produce something tangible this year, he will probably be invited to leave.

Contrast that with Gundy's displeasure with Holder and Pickens lately and the fact that he's had to squeeze the fucking turnip for what little scratch he gets, I must admit that I'd much rather have a coach that is feeling a little heat.

– I have again been told the defense is primarily running their nickel package — which very may well wind up being their base defense — with Steven Parker continuing to impress at nickel. Will Johnson is the 2nd team nickel and I’m told that while Parker has the advantage at the moment, there isn’t a huge drop off between the two. So it’s clear the coaches are developing depth at the position.

I think this bodes well for the defense as a whole. I would assume the DL and LB corps are finally where they need to be to allow the nickel to be ran primarily. Yeah we'll probably step out of it against texico and any other team that has difficulty in throwing the ball with regularity...but this is good news in my book.
