His trial isn't until the season has already started, so now what do you think Harsin is going to do? Start him until after the trail or hold him out until after?

Tough situation we're in here.

But Florida State and Auburn got away just fine keeping QBs in despite much more serious allegations.

Damn Boise cops barely have anything to do because there's hardly any crime in that city. This petty crap happens all the time out there it seems.

They keep pushing the trial date back, but I think it's pretty clear he did it. The kid was drinking underage and ran from the cops. Truthfully many if not most of us have been there. I certainly have. I say cut the kid some slack and maybe discipline him internally, especially since the MIP (minor in consumption) will probably stick and the resisting arrest for running and hiding will most likely be dropped. If the kid went out and got a DUI and put himself and others in jeopardy that's one thing and in that case I would say sit him for a game but he didn't. He's a 20 year old kid who got caught drinking. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well Ironically enough Harsin has answered this question, Finley is eligible.

I do agree though sir, it is a pretty case and one that many college football players have likely gotten away with without anyone ever knowing they just happened to pursue him in this situation.

I would like to think our QB could out run the cops. :L give him some community service and call it good.

Looks like the date has been set for Sept. 28. Worst case scenario is he will play through the first four games, our OOC schedule. Last OOC game is @ Virginia on Sept. 25th. I would suggest that Rypien or whoever is going to be the back up gets plenty of playing time week 3 against Idaho State. In addition, we have Hawaii at home for game 5 to ease in. Shit gets real on week 6 with Colorado.

I hope Finley can function with this hanging over his head. I am not at all worried about the Minor alcohol charge, could happen to damn near any kid. It is the evading the police charge that will be tough to deal with less than harsh if it is not dropped.

I agree sir

Our tough games are all in the first half of the year, so we have to come out strong
