Here's why. He will be in striking range for Chip Kelly. Kelly will then call the Browns and trade Bradford in a heartbeat for the 19th pick. He would already of course have talked to the Rams about moving to 10 for Mariota. In return the Rams get picks 19 & 20 and next years 1st from the Eagles. Really not much for chips golden boy. We actually would probably get their 2nd rd too. Of course he will be calling the teams in front of us. our hope is they don't want to move back that far in the draft and pass on an elite pass rusher. Chip was already offered the 19th pick from the Browns but he can't do it now because he has no idea if MM will slide to 10 and he would be without a QB. And the Rams should jump all over that deal.

If Im not underrating the oline prospects coming out then there is huge chance the Rams are trading down with or without Mariota being there.

I don't think so. As much as I would love to give Bradford the middle finger and watch him bounce around from team to team I just don't see it happening. If MM falls to #10 and thats a big IF, I doubt the Eagles have enough in reserves to get their boy. Jumping from 20 to 10 for the #1 or #2 QB in the draft will require a blockbuster deal. Some might argue otherwise but they aren't trading picks for a offensive linemen. It's for a supposed game changer. I seriously doubt this ever transpires in the first place. There are far too many QB needy teams in the top 10.

Him falling to 10 is a big if but if he does I have no doubt this trade would go down. Like I said the Rams would probably get their second round pick too. So 2 1st and a second isnt chump change. Not to mention we already got their second round pick next year.

I'm not sure he's going to last that long. Here in NY, quite a few in the press seem convinced the Jets are going to trade with the Browns so they could take MM at #6

I'm not buying the Browns want him. After the Johnny football thing they want a prototypical QB like Bradford. No guess work they know what they are getting with Bradford. Not to mention they would have to give up both first-round picks to move up. I'm worried the Jets will take him though. I can't believe the Redskins would take him either Seeing they pretty much took that guy in our RG3.

If the Titans and Jets pass on him it would be historically baffling.

If that was really the case I'd say get Cleveland on 3 way call and we will take the 19th and 20th pick. Browns get Bradford, Eagles get #10, Rams get #19, #20.

You're being way too kind the Rams would score way more than that. You're basically swapping first rd picks. so you easily get their second rd at next years first also

True. but the Titans would have to pass on a sure defense of stud in Williams, Gregory, or Flower..

Titans have claimed they aren't going QB at #2. I would guess Leonard Williams is their target. They seem OK with Mettenburger.

In his scenario, we'd be swapping first rounders but also picking up another, not a bad haul at all to move back nine slots.

Browns could potentially move up to 5 or 6 with their 2 1st rounders if they want Mariota though. They would be the big roadblock to Mariota sliding to 10 if they want him.

I think you're right. Williams does seem to be their guy.

I was mentioning this earlier as well. Here in NY, the sports press seem to think the Browns will do just that for the #6.

I've heard that about TN. It's hard to believe anything pre-draft though but getting Mariota past the Jets would be the big stumbling block. They sent a big contingent out to his pro day. They've taken care of some of their needs in FA but QB is a huge hole for them.

Yes but at that point you have the Eagles by the balls. Because Cleveland's picking at 12 behind the Rams and they could take him if they don't have Bradford by then. And your talking about moving up to get a franchise quarterback that's a big difference. Also they're going to have to convince us why we shouldn't take him.

The Browns of already made it clear they want Bradford though? That would be very stupid for them to do that. In my opinion the Jets are the true roadblock taking him at 6.

I wasn't meaning to limit the Rams to those 2 picks, just saying I would want both. It could be those 2 picks as well as a 2nd and a 4th. I meant it more as a starting point because consecutive picks in the 1st is a great position to be in.
