Yeah sure they did. Forced 4 turnovers and at one point in second half the game was z21-20 and Oregon had all momentum

Oregon forced 1 turnover, the fumble by Corey Smith. Cardale Jones flat out dropped the ball twice and Oregon was there to fall on it. Jalin Marshall had a ball bounce off his shoulder pads into the arms of a defender.

Gifts. Despite that, OSU won by 22.

:L omg........

Oregon forced 1 turnover...... period. the other three were all on OSU players alone. Please get over yourself. your team got bitch slapped up and down the field. You're lucky the score wasn't more lopsided.

OD! At least try to be honest about things. Forced 4 turnovers? How about one! The other three? One slipped out of Jones hands passing (no defender around). Another was off a handoff where Jones pulled it away then decided to put it back but Elliot had already closed his arms. The third was an interception that bounced right off a wide open receiver straight to an Oregon player. Forced? Seriously? :L

You guys are on the money, but I would have taken more offense to the "Oregon had all the momentum" statement...the last time that was true was in the Rose Bowl.

So what's the issue? The man is an awesome coach, a wonderful human being, and he has a point.

Nothing to see here, folks...

Good Morning Huw, it's not at all an issue for me but my opinion is that Briles is becoming to sound kinda like 'used car salesman' slimy, trying to sell something that doesn't exist.

And in the article he flat out contradicts the playoff committee at the same time refusing to name his inaccurate source. At least Patterson at TCU let the play on the field do all his talking.

Morning, Norka...I understand why he feels he needs to say it. If Ohio State was the fourth team in and they won the whole thing, then anybody else who could have possibly been the fourth team selected could have made a similar run, whether it be the hated, despicable, dastardly Horned Frawgs, or the lovable, scrappy, America's favorite underdog Baillore Bares. He can go tell recruits, "yeah, we were thisclose to making the same run the Buckeyes did, except we weren't let in."

And then when they bring up the Cotton Bowl, he can just say, "we made a mistake to let our foot off the gas, because if I 'run it up' I get criticized, but if I let a team back in the game, I still get criticized, so we'll not make that same mistake again. Plus, it wasn't a playoff game so we didn't really need to win it. Now sign here..."

Either way, it won't make much difference because they are still not a household brand name amongst CFB types.

I hear you, Huwaryu! Especially about the way Briles operates and recruits, you're darn right he's a 'salesman' and a mighty convincing one at that... but as a Buckeye fan, Art Brile's bs Shan't be tolerated!

And thanks for the awesome reply, "Baillore Bares" (triple snicker!)

The Sugar Bowl was the real NC this year.

Oregon three wins over top 10 opponents
Alabama 0 wins over top 10 opponents.

Oregon five wins over teams that finished ranked
Alabama three wins over teams that finished ranked.

Oregon 13 wins total
Alabama 12 wins total.

Can we give the idea that Alabama should have finished #2 or was the second best team a rest? Alabama's best win was a loss to tOSU.
