Pretty sure any prayer of getting even a 2nd round pick for Foles has long since passed. That times infinity after tonight.

Foles stays and finishes the year in Philly. Next year, probably a different story.

Nick Foles is not even remotely close to being worth a first round pick. If we traded him the best we could hope for IMO is a 3rd. I don't even believe a team will give a 2nd rounder for him. I love Foles and think he is a good QB but realistically the only teams that would go for him is a team that would have a high draft pick and none of them would give a high pick for Foles.

We will get a 3rd round compensatory pick for him so just keep him.

You either trade him for a 1st and going into next years draft with two 1sts, two 2nds, two 3rds, two 4ths and two 5ths or you let him leave as a FA and get a 2020 3rd round comp pick.

If some QB gets hurt and we get a 1st next years draft will be amazin. I couldn’t imagine winnng back to back and having 2 picks in each of the first 5 rounds. Reload time!

Eagles won't get a first cause teams don't want a repeat of what Minny gave up for Sammy sleeves.

Your dumb ass scenarios are always wrong. No way that happens.

This ain’t a scenario. If we got a 1st for him we’d have 2 picks in each of the first 5 rounds. That’s not a scenario outside of getting a first for him.

Nah..... most of us were not in denial about Foles ability. I think he is a good QB and could be a starter somewhere but he is not going to be great. The stars were aligned for a few weeks during the playoff run.
Yet so many of the Philly faithful think he's worth a 1st +

Let's be clear, Philly is set on Wentz as "the guy", and they are right to feel that way.

But let's say Foles plays well again for 2-4 games. Then Wentz returns before the trade deadline and appears to have returned to form. Does Philly entertain shipping Foles out to a QB desperate team that would likely way overpay for him in a trade, or would they hang onto him as the backup even though his contract is essentially over after the season?

The guy is at his best under offensive-minded head coaches (Kelly, Pederson). Wentz is the franchise so they'd obviously be willing to accept an absurd offer from a team with that kind of coach who maybe has an injury at the position during the season and doesn't have a reliable backup. Bears, Raiders, Chiefs?

It depends. I could see Jacksonville trading for him if Bortles wrist surgery doesn’t improve his accuracy. Other than that, it would take a qb injury from a top team, like Minnesota. In that case, I don’t think philly would get much more than a draft pick or two. Maybe a second rounder or multiple picks from rounds 3-7.

We do cause he is to us... but to other teams not likely. We need insurance for Wentz so he is worth a lot to US

The Eagles wanted the moon, stars and a couple of planets for Foles in the off season and teams in need thought it was too expensive. Foles is worth a 100M contract, no doubt. Not sure what the Eagles are paying him now but making a reining SB MVP stand on the sidelines holding a clipboard is not something Foles will tolerate for long unless they're paying him the 100M to do so.

Foles's contract is essentially voided after this year. He's made no indications that he'd raise a stink about being the backup for this season. But unless his stock falls drastically due to poor performance before Wentz returns, you're right, he's gone next season for sure. But if Foles goes out there and continues to play well, some team will offer up the moon for him once Wentz comes back. They weren't really ready to do that based on a few decent regular season games and a great playoff run. But make no mistake, some team would fork out multiple 1st's or a 1st and players/additional lower round picks if he comes back strong again to make sure that he doesn't make it to free agency next season.
