Checked out Philly with a buddy in the spring and we stayed in the Gayborhood (unintentionally).

There were good restaurants and bars in the immediate area and it was centrally located for our trips to all the liberty stuff (Friday) and the art museum (Saturday). Also convenient to the subway to go see the Phils (the Brews destroyed them). There was also some kind of gay pride festival going on that we checked out for a while.
Didn't mind the gay slant at all, but the really aggressive beggars were a bit much. There was one lady who was walking around in the rain covered in I don't know what and I am really glad she didn't touch me.

If only Slink could have been there...sigh.
Them queerosexuals know how to keep a tidy hotel. No shame on staying in the Gayborhood.

Speaking of, it's been a while. I think the last time I was in Philly proper was for the beer fest in April.

Been about 4 years for me. We took The Boy down to CHOP and then enjoyed the sights for a couple of days. I like Philly a lot, great town.

I was obviously there for the Mummers' Parade. Wife marched, I got roped in to pushing a prop because they needed help because they couldn't find enough idiots willing to risk frostbite pushing props along Broad Street. Then obviously the Super Bowl parade, then the beer fest. I don't count my trips to the ballpark, because I rarely go anywhere else outside of the stadium or the parking lot when I'm there.

Haven't seen one of those in a while
Wife's still quasi-active with her band. Marched some parades on the 4th, did the Mummers' Wildwood Weekend as well. She'll probably march again this year. Might be her last, unless I get something closer to Philly in the future.

Rodeway Inn on Walnut, the building was a little funky but our room was fine and the price was great for the location.
We parked in a garage right across the street for reasonable money with the hotel validation and didn't move the car the whole time we were there.
Good Indian street food right across the street that was open really late.
Checked out the USS NJ on the way out of town!

24-4

Holeeey shit lmao

Seems like there have been a lot of 20+ run games across MLB this season.
Once it starts getting out of hand, the managers don't care. Instead of having some long guy soak up a few innings, they just let position players pitch

Mets have been hot offensively lately. First time anyone has been able to say this all year.
