Your obsessions don't change the facts on the field. This team's hitting is worse than its pitching and that's simply true. I wonder how it would have gone if they had even 50 games of the whole team healthy in the same lineup.

You know I agree with you about the true #weaklink being the bats, not the arms. But PLEASE stop woe-ing about the injuries. When you have the oldest team in the bigs, you knowingly sign up for that. That is like buying a ‘78 Pinto and saying “gosh, it sure would have been a great car if it just didn’t blow up on me.”

I get it. But the Rockets losing Paul for the playoffs is expected and any fan saying “If he were there it would have been different” is a BS comment because Paul NEVER plays in the postseason.

An old team olds. You can’t say after the fact, “if only this team weren’t old...”

But most of the injuries had nothing to do with age. Bum, Longoria, Mac, Belt, Crawford, Panik, Strickland. Cueto yes. Samardjiza sure. But age had little to do with our meh.

Longo yes. Craw yes. Panik has history. Belt has history. Strick has headcase history. Sandoval yes.

You get a team full of 30+ players and players with injury histories, you know injuries will be a thing. The “what if...” or “If only...” story is not allowed.
