Schauffele has a huge important shot on the 17th hole to put it close for a chance at birdie and there’s a lady standing 5 feet away from him with a toddler making noises :L

That lady has no clue how much money her kid could have potentially cost him.

If you’re gonna take a toddler to a golf tournament, then stand far enough away where they won’t be a distraction.

But then again that’s using logic and we’re talking about women here

I will have to check that out.
I feel bad that Xander did not know he could get relief from one of those bunker cams he was up against. He could have saved par

It was not that bad. The little girl said a couple of words when he was taking practice swings but he was not ready to hit.
He did laugh at what the little girl said. The little girl was silent after that.

Very impressed with Molinari today. Not a bogey on his card in those tough conditions on a beast of a course. British Open Champion; good for him!

How 'bout the asshole who screamed out something right when Woods was hitting his tee shot on 18? What is wrong with people. That was just silly.

A major loss for Tiger that will lead to a major win

A major loss for Tiger that will lead to a major win
ESPN's love for Tiger was never a secret. But now when you lose means you are going to win.

Tiger is playing at the highest levels of golf and he will win, he just has to stop shooting himself in the foot.

Tiger is playing well enough that ESPN does not have to spin everything single thing he does.

Best golfer won. Hands down.
Amazing turnaround for Molinari’s putting.
Used to be a real weakness. Now he is very solid.
Then there is Spieth, who was arguably the best putter in the world a few years ago.
He is going thru his struggles with the flat stick now.

Crazy game.

He choked down the stretch.

Choked how? By shooting even par on a day where there were 6 scores in the 60s?

You ever played Carnoustie? Lol. You think those last 3 holes are easy?

Stop hatin. He hasn’t been in that position in a long time.

Looks like he was ready to hit to me. This is on the 17th hole in the final pairing at a Major Championship. Get your freaking toddler out of there.

If the guy in the final paring of a major championship is laughing about it ...that is good enough for me.

They did nothing wrong.

What's he supposed to do, scream at a kid?

Drunken idiots

Sure there were some idiots, but they were way better behaved than many of the US crowds especially the ones in NY last month for the US Open. Way less shouts of Baba Booey & other related nonsense.

Yep - hottest golfer in the world rt now. Playing the last two rounds bogey free at the British Open (especially in the last rd) is just crazy & in his last three starts he finished 1st twice & 2nd once.

There is no denying how dialed in Tigers is. And to play this good at an Open is very telling. But this was a custom fit scenario for Tiger. When every one else is falling apart ..Tiger will par you to death.

And that is kinda the rub with the new Tiger ...It's vintage Tiger with a little Phil mixed in.

When Tiger has contend this year, he has these mini meltdowns on Sunday. The old Tiger never had a double bogey on a Sunday. No question, Tiger right now is dangerous but right now he is beating himself,

Yep but also he tried to be too cute on # 11. I think that the miracle shot on 10 probably gave him the confidence to believe that he could pull off a miracle on 11 when a more conservative shot might have served him better. Oh well - it is what it is & Molinari was probably going to win regardless. All in all it was a very entertaining day of golf - bad shots & all.

Make no mistake. The PGA tour & the networks want all of the baba booey screamers. It's a by product of a "Tiger-like atmosphere that has excitement and high ratings. And they want and need that especially when Tiger is not in the tournament.

They could easily start tossing people out for doing it. If they did a no tolerance policy for it for a year ...the rule would enforce itself after that.

Spieth shit his pants today.

As did lots of players. Some just on Sun & others continuing a downslide that started on Sat. How about Tommy Fleetwood, Zach Johnson, Webb Simpson, Kevin Chappell, Adam Scott, etc, etc?

I guess that pretty much all of these golfers suck - huh? It could not have been - I don't know - that the freaking course was playing extremely difficult yesterday? I guess folks just don't appreciate how tough that course played yesterday.

That could be but that is not my pt. I am just saying that overall the British Open crowds were relatively well behaved.

In one of the closing holes, Tiger was already 2 or 3 shots back but he pulls out an iron of the tee. He ended up needing over 200 yards to get home and the result was not good.

Even Johnny Miller said that was a mistake. Keeping the ball in play was a great strategy for Tiger but he has trust issues with his driver. It very well may have cost him another major by not pulling the driver a couple of more times.

Oh without question. Far more respectful.
