Unreal....we're playing the 3rd worse team in all of Major League baseball and we've only gotten 1 hit in six innings and the white sox have 4 runs- just a pathetic showing for the M's tonight.

M's came awful close to having a no hitter pitched against them by Covey who is 3-5 with a 5.69 ERA. Mariners making him look like an All Star again tonight.

I have family at this game tonight, 3rd row above the Sox dugout. What a shitty game for them to be sitting at. We all felt a white sox game would be fun to go to and see some runs piling up. Boy were we ever wrong about that.

Buster Olney of ESPN reports that Mets closer Jeurys Familia will be traded to the Athletics if the two sides can finish the deal.

Olney earlier reported that the Mets had agreed to the structure of a deal involving Familia and an unknown team. If the structure of the deal is in place, it likely means that money is the final hurdle, and the Mets have reportedly said they're willing to include cash with Familia to get a better return. Crap show for the offense... I expect a dumpster inning or 2 or 3 from Felix every time so the offense needs to show up with the M's rotation.

I am more worried about the pitching rather than the hitting because right before the all star break Paxton and Leake got shelled against the rockies and angels. If I remember history correctly Paxton really doesnt have a good 2nd half performance and we are still crossing our fingers with Marco, Leblanc and Leake

Sacks loaded, 1 out and Seager gets a walk to walk in a run. Nice to see Seager contributing by not K'ing out or hitting into a DP. Good start to this game today after last night's disaster. Glad to see Healy back in the line up and not Vogelbach. Span with sac fly for Haniger to make it 2-0. Healy hits a BOMB to make it 5-0 :yes:

I'm really happy to see Z back off the DL but sure wish he'd start doing something with his bat. The team could sure use some of his offense he's shown in the past.

That was terrible base running. Healy should have broke to 3rd earlier when Span was caught in the run down Turned into double play cuz he waited too long.
