4. Mark Richt, Miami Richt’s overall record is impressive. But in 17 seasons as a head coach, he has only finished first outright in his division four times. He has Miami back on the right track for sure, but he still has the tag of the man who can’t win the big one.

Jimbo has a natty.
Malzahn has done more than anyone else on that list

Gus has done more than any other coach in the SEC other than Saban

Chizek has a natty also does that mean he was a great coach?

Jimbo has a natty, but he's also getting paid like $10 million a year which is just fucking retarded.

Gus lost to Jimbo and you were lucky to be there to start with. Gus's only real accomplishment is beating Saban a couple of times and being OC when Cam Newton was QB. He's proven he ain't much more than a high school coach. And he's along the lines of Chip Kelly, that whole gimmick is no longer new or a big deal, it's been more than a decade since "going fast" came out.
"Beating Saban a couple of times" is a pretty exclusive club...especially in the last 10 years. Who else is in that club? Hugh Freeze? Les Miles? Urban Meyer?

I think Taggart is getting there. He built up Western Kentucky into a place that now puts out NFL talent and draft picks on offense and then resurrected a USF program that was in shambles after Skip Holtz. Charlie Strong only reaps the benefits from Taggart's recruiting and talent development.

Taggart isn't a miracle worker like say Tom Herman, Urban Meyer, etc. He's a program builder like Saban or James Franklin.

Give him 3 years at FSU and we'll see if he's legit. The talent is there, he's just got to get them back to playing together.

Guys like Herman and Taggart are simple Incomplete. You really can’t judge them until year 4-5 (if they make it). I would put smart on that list also. Just not enough data, which is a bit ironic, because in order to get the necessary data to be over-rated you need to outlast 90% of the coaches out there

Yes and he should be number 1 on the list to replace Herman when he crashes and burns.

We all know the 2010 natty was Malzahn and not Chizik.

Has UGA ever beat Bama in the past 20 years?

Since 1996 Alabama and Georgia have only played 5 (cinco) regular season scheduled games. Georgia has played at Alabama twice (dos) since 1995. That's 23 years.lol. They can't seriously be in the same conference.

Michigan State has played Wisconsin 7 times in the regular season since 2007. That’s 11 years.

Bigger conference = Better conference. The reason the Big 12 and Pac 12 are not very good. :rolleyes2:

Because teams in the same conference play each other more than once every five six years? LOL . What a dipshit.

I’m sorry but Gus Malzahn is a high school tier coach. At least his offensive scheme. Just like Gene Chizik he’s had some good runs of luck, but in no way is Gus thought of as a brilliant football mind. If not for last season going so well (until it counted lol) Gus would be on many hot seat lists going into this season.

So you'll be shocked when Chip Kelly bombs at UCLA?
At this point I wonder if even Urban or Saban would bomb at UCLA. Disgusting waste of talent that program is.
