Torontp can sill trade him and get assets.

But, if I'm Magiuc.....it's now just Deng, Kuzma (no chance we send Ingram there), and a future 1st rounder.

I'm even hesitant about adding Kuzma. But, we'd have to give up 1 promising youngster.

Yep, all things considered, this is a bit of a no brainer for the Raptors. If they can convince him to to stay, great for them.

If they can't, they were going to have to rebuild anyway.

Them and Boston both.

The way Kawhi has behaved... I don't blame either team.

Yeah. I'm really not terribly bothered that the Sixers didn't get Kawhi. Maybe he's still an elite player. Maybe he's not. But given up guys that still have tremendous potential is super dangerous.

I am glad the Celtics didn't get him.

Not sure how Fultz kills any deal for Leonard. Saric I can sort of see but not really. Not when you're getting a player like Leonard.

Because Markelle Fultz looked pretty awesome at every aspect of basketball EXCEPT his shot. If Drew Hanlen has fixed his shot, he is going to be a big time player for the Sixers next year.

If the Sixers traded Fultz for Kawhi right now, that would be hailed as a great deal but could very easily look like a disaster in 3 years.

No way.

In hindsight, if Philly had traded for him....I am convinced that he would have re-upped with them next summer. I'm 90% sure he would have.

No way what? That Fultz can become a really good player?

Did not see anything about him being a Clippers fan growing up, but did find this:

Here's why there are so many Paul George to the Lakers rumors

While in OKC, George is still talking about L.A.
Hours ahead of OKC’s matchup against L.A., George doubled down on why playing back home was so important to him — citing friends and family — while reportedly heaping praise on Lonzo Ball. He also gave the Lakers the edge over playing for his hometown Clippers team, according to NBC Los Angeles’ Shahan Ahmad, because of their storied history.
✔@shahanL

Paul George made it clear playing back home means a bit more because of family & friends, offered HIGH praise for Lonzo Ball & said Lakers have history over Clippers, so it's not the same thing.

"Lakers have the history...that's who we grew up watching

Pretty candid stuff from Paul George about L.A. with Lakers and Clippers coming up. Says he has no regrets about Lakers popping up as trade destination when he was with Pacers: IN THAT LINK there is a clip that says this exact thing coming DIRECTLY from Paul George's lips.

Yeah, I don't know how much truth there was to it (apparently not much). But I remember hearing last summer when all of the trade talk was happening that he was actually a Clippers fan growing up.

Look like a disaster?

No chance Fultz is better than Leonard in 3 years.

You are assuming that Leonard will still be a top 5 player in 3 years. He may never be a top 5 player again.

Agree.

That's assuming health.

If he is actually going to give it a go for Team USA this Summer, I would imagine he's pretty healthy.

I guess we will find out shortly.

I personally understand the why of not trading long-term, rotation pieces for a rental.

But, if he was healthy and open minded about staying....

Saric and Fultz is not a high price to pay...

Doesn't matter now...

How can you possibly be so sure of what is going on in his head a year in advance no less?

It's funny that just a couple of months ago I said trading Ingram and Kuzma would be too much and I got blasted for it.

Amazing how things change...
