Lowry was 8th in VORP and 9th in Box Plus/Minus.

He's an elite player.
Lmfao

I don't care what the analytics say.

Kyle Lowry is not elite.

Curry and a healthy CP3 are elite.

If Wall could shoot, he'd be elite.

Lowry?

to collect assets.

And if they trade Klaw, Lowry probably isn't far behind.
Yeah, I guess we have to agree to disagree.

Kuzma and a 1st that will be in the late 20's to eat Deng is a bad trade for a team like the Raptors.

For the Nets or Hawks?

Great.

For a team that may have to pay the repeater tax?

No.

ESPN just did an analysis based on the Denver/Nets trade.

It's about $20m to get a first round pick.

You'd be getting Kuzma and a first to do so.

It's just math.

Lakers still max him out.
How does that work?

Can he just sit out or does he need to fake an injury?

I just saw something yesterday that said he wants to play for Team USA and is going to play in camp this Summer.

Is someone gonna make a when will Kawhi join the Lakers poll?

Choices should be this Summer, the deadline or next Summer.

I have been to Toronto and I absolutely love it there.

It is one of my favorite places to visit.

Emphasis on the word VISIT.

I'm from the same general area as Demar.

He seemed to be all in. So, it's not 100% that Kawhi won't like it there and that he decides to stay.

But, if I were betting...

I'd put large sums of cash on him bolting to the Lakers.

...anything can happen and I'm not trying to Shit on the Raptors.

But, OKC has Russell Westbrook.

You have Kyle Lowry.

Lowry is no Westbrook.

Apples and Oranges...

Or

Maybe Oranges and tangerines at best.
And yet would you bet on the Thunder with Westbrook and PG getting to the Finals in the next 2 years over the Raptors with Kawhi and Lowry?

How about as a destination, are we taking OKC over Toronto?

Not to mention the money.

If guys are playing for a) success, b) comfort and c) money, if OKC could offer PG all three I can't see how the Raptors couldn't offer Kawhi the same. Not saying they will - maybe Kawhi detests everything about his year here - but not only were Lakers fans convinced PG was headed there, they were right about him wanting to go there and he still decided to stick around in OKC instead of sign up with the Lakers.

Happy to watch it all play out.

According to those metrics......Lowry is a top 10 player.

I knew there was a reason I didn't follow that shit.

Bottom line this is a move the Raps had to make.

This gives them a better chance this season then they had.
They got the best player in the deal and they kept their best young chips

Kawai comes in and has success and maybe he likes it here.

If he pouts and cries he gets dealt.
If he walks the Raps have dropped demars 27 million and Greens deal at the end of the season.

So give it one good kick at the can and then see where we stand.

Yeah, I think I actually would take the Thunder over the Raptors.

Your 3rd best Player is either Ibaka or Valicunis...sorry if I butchered his name....their 3rd best player is Adams.

Their big 3 beats yours....imo.

With that being said....

That's not the question you should be asking.

The question is....Can Kyle and Leonard beat LeBron and Leonard.

Everyone knows that answer is no.

As for lifestyles....I'd take Toronto 10 out of 10 times over OKC.

But, not over LA.

Another factor....George stayed in part because of his friendship with Russ.

Demar and Kyle had that kind of bond. Kawhi doesn't seem like the kind of Dude that is wired to put anything above his family.

His management and Family want him in LA.

IT still lookin for that Brinks truck?

Yeah, I do feel bad for guys like Blake and Demar.

They were loyal and got dealt in the best interest of the franchise.

But, it could be worse.

They could be IT or Boogie.

Boogie will get some cold comfort if he gets a ring. But, he lost about 25 mil this year that he could have signed for with the Kings.

Not saying OKC vs. TOR - I'd take OKC too, probably.

I mean in one team or the other actually getting to the Finals. There's next-to-no chance OKC's getting past GS, HOU, LAL, even Utah or NO are posing challenges. The Raptors have, at best 1 team that's 100% better than them on paper right now in the East and two of that team's best players are coming off serious injuries.

I don't know how Kawhi thinks. I don't really think anybody does except that he feels like the Spurs didn't treat him well. Whatever happens, happens, but I think PG shunning the Lakers and staying in a small market was very indicative of how much things can change in 12 months.
