Do we have the LOWEST cap in the NFL?

We have like 4 future HOFers signed... Wilson, Wagner, Thomas, and... wtf Baldwin? I mean seriously? I just looked up our free cap on spotrac and Seattle is the 32nd ranked team in terms of available space.

I mean WHO THE FUCK DID WE SIGN!? ED DICKSON, DUANE "I don't care" Brown!? Fucking Kam retired..... like WTF?! Can someone explain to me? Is Wilson secretly taking up half the cap space or are we just holding on to a bunch of mediocre 'lol' players!?

Seattle Seahawks 2018 Salary Cap

idk if this will help you find your answer or not but this still has you paying kam money

Yeah, sportrac has Kam as both still on the roster and retired and counting as dead money. IDK why they did that, but he's currently counting twice against the Hawks cap according to them.

As far as I know, Kam hasn't retired. He posted on twitter that he wasn't going to play again, but I haven't heard of anything about him filing the paperwork with the NFL. Until he does that, or the Seahawks cut him, he's on the active payroll.

Yeah, Kam hasn't retired. He wont this year. Wouldn't be financially smart because the team could then come after some of the real money they've already paid him.

And cap space can opened up without a great deal of difficulty, as we have seen in the past. Seems like this same discussion happens every off-season. Despite ranking "32nd" currently, we were in the running for Suh. We also signed Fluker, Ed Dickson, B Maxwell, B McDougald, the 2 DL from Minn, Brandon Marshall, Janikowski, and probably a couple other guys I'm forgetting.

Honestly, who cares about our cap situation for this season? Are we looking to bring in players still? Seems unlikely?

We have the 4th most cap space for next year.

That's the key... The moves this off season have been made to set us up very well for another strong run beginning 2019...

I think next year when Thomas contract ends and cut away from Kam is when we will have a ton of cap space not to mention brown will be off the books. At the same time we have to figure out Frank Clark and how much we will pay him its a never ending cycle

That's kind of the key.

We knew with lack of draft picks and dead money in guys like Kearse, Lane, Bennett, Sherman and of course Kam that 2018 was going to look ugly no matter what.

2019 looks fairly clean.
Assuming Earl is gone they will have have decisions to make on Wright, Clark, Brown and Lockett. Also a potential extension RW which would actually lower the 2019 cap since his cap hit next year is over 25 mil
