Seems like capitalizing to me.

Why buy beer when you can sneak in booze?

I do not support the easy road from Universities on these things. Nor the more lucrative road.
Well at my age I don't tend to drink all that much before games anymore so I may not have a dog in this hunt.

I would say who cares if the schools profit from selling beer? They profit from everything else that goes into a game. Sure, some fans will always sneak in their own no matter the rules are or how available the overpriced beer is. They still do that at pro stadiums so of course it would still happen. It will still cut down a LOT as the majority would take the lazy road and just buy beer. As well as those that don't feel they have to do a lot more at the tailgaters to get them by and end up just crazy shit faced.

This might come as a shock, but it rains a lot here. Like a lot. Back when we had to go back out to our bus/car/party at half time to drink more there were many games it wasn't worth getting soaked again so a lot of people tried to get toasted enough to make it through the whole game. It got ugly at times. Can't tell you how many times there was puke all down the stairs, but it wasn't rare.

Do you think it's more appropriate to call MSU Penn State Lite, or to call Penn State MSU Lite?
Calling Penn State “MSU lite”. What happened at MSU overall was much worse and required much more incompetence and enabling than Penn State.

They don't sell alcohol at Nebraska games. However, it is two wheel dollied up to the sky-boxes a couple days before games. The administration plays Sgt Shultz (I know nothing, I see nothing) on it.
The new AD (Bill Moos/Wash St) has proposed selling it in the stadium but I doubt it gets passed until Tom Osborne is pushing up daisies.

Milan Puskar has been selling beer since 2010. It is thought of as a nice convenience until you go to get one and see the line then the price. Holy Hell.

Are there CFB stadiums that serves alcohol? I don't know the rules behind it. Should they be allowed to if they want? Pros and cons?
I think it’s an ncaa thing. I went to the sec basketball championship in St. Louis at the Scott trade center after a few beers expecting to continue my buzz, but quickly found out there was no alcohol on site.

FSU had to be drinking when they redid our South Endzone.

They put a bar at the top of it and allow sales to everybody down
there. The Varsity Club has a bar at the North Endzone, but that
has been there for years.

Anyway, they had to do some reconstruction and lowered our
capacity from 82,300 to 79,600. But they charge more for
sitting in the fucking endzone. (Because of the bar)

We first hosted a FSU-UF game in 1964. It has always been
a sell out. Except for the last year that we hosted the game.
That's because of that bar. We haven't had a sell-out for any
game in the last 2 years. The last time we went 2 years w/o a sellout was
1962 and 1963.

We only won 1 game combined in 1973 and 1974 and still had
one sellout.

Everything our administration touches turns to shit in a hurry.

It is at Pitt games but that's more recent. It never was when the Panthers were in the Big East.

Every Stadium with a box sells alcohol even though it may not be available to the guy in section 123 row 4.

It depends. Out of conference matchup, yes. I know it is banned in the big ten if it is a conference gm. Not sure about other conferences

I have not been to an Oregon State game in Corvallis, but I do have a good friend who is a season ticket holder, so my wife and I will probably make there before too long.

We were in Corvallis last summer for the eclipse (full 5/7 stars, btw - would eclipse again!) and saw the stadium. It looked like a nice venue to catch a college game!

Obs potato salad: potato salad

We were right up the road from you on the Oregon state capital campus for the eclipse.

And I'd 100% rather see a game in Reser than Autzen.

Driving from the Bay Area to Corvallis (Philamoth, actually) was a four day trip for a 90 second show. I'm going to predict that watching a game in Reser would provide significantly more programming-hour per travel resource-hour. But that's just a guess . . .

We drove to Seaside and hung out at the beach for a few days before the Eclipse and drove to Salem in the middle of the night to ensure we had a good spot. The trip back to the beach took hours. That was fugly traffic. Entirely worth it though.

Reser's a better place to see a game because beaver fans don't have their heads inserted entirely up their own backsides. I'd say that's the number 1 reason.
