It seems like driver's seat is a little misleading. Sounds like the Lakers and Sixers have decided to ease back on going after him which means that the Raptors, for the moment, the only team actively making efforts to get Kawhi.
But unless the Raptors are willing to completely lift up their skirt, they are going to have to deal with some pretty undesirable trade demands from the Spurs. I don't think there is any chance the Raptors will give up 3 1st rounders for Kawhi. And given their dearth of young talent, the Spurs might demand 4.

This must be revenge for Kings fans being upset they weren't making moves.
Considering they were well clear of the salary FLOOR, getting more cash means they have to be thinking of another move. I'm fearing it's throwing the max/near max at Rodney Hood but Capela is also still out there. A Marcus Smart offer sheet wouldn't have required this trade.
