You think he holds out a couple of games or back for week 1?

More media bullshit........

If he misses weeks you have to think it hurts his value, how many NFL teams will want to deal with his contract drama, his outside drama, then the possibility of him holding out......

I think he does the same thing he did last year, he won't show up till week one, but he'll be there.

Stud running backs provide more value to their teams than stud Receivers do on a per game basis and are much rarer. They don't get paid properly for what they do.
You're nuts lol. The best RBs in the league are marginally better than average backs . That's why they dont get paid. RBs are a dime a dozen

What a dumb ass. This franchise is loaded with all time great/HoF players and he could have been right at the top of the list. Steelers will still have a solid year and get yourself a RBoF in next years draft.

It's funny in the sense he thinks he's hurting Pittsburgh......
But as he tries to tell the fans it's the front office that is damaging his reputation.

I'm still trying to figure out how you make a selfish, shitty asshole look any worse.

A lot of these guys don't live in the real world and think they're loved everywhere they go. Just not the case when the fans are the ones paying their salary.

Bettis even went to Twitter and said, Bell will not find a place as good as Pittsburgh.
And the numerous former players who begged to come back.....Willie Parker, Mike Wallace....

These idiots think they are God's.....He is another T.O. head case.

The only Non QB within 20 first downs of Bell(105) last year was Gurley(98). Moving the chains and scoring TDs are whats important imo and Bell is the best in the business over the last few years. Just for reference your average RB RB16 Christian McCaffrey had 57 1st downs. Pretty huge gap between elite and average.

Ok, not that I disagree with you, but look at the offense surrounding Bell......
You have Ben who can scrabble, you have the best WR in the NFL in AB, you have Juju, McDonald/ JJ at TE.....there were so many weapons on the field for Pittsburgh it left little coverage for Bell.....

I'll venture to say he won't have that success on another team.....

Mccaffrey had
48% of Bells touches yet haf
54% of his first downs
And
61% of his yards

The only difference between the 2 is one guy got 406 touches and one got 197.

That's it

There are literally 20+ guys in the league who would get Bells stats with his touches.

If you describe something as pedestrian, you mean that it is ordinary and not at all interesting.

Then give McCaffrey 406 touches.....

I heard some analyst say earlier this evening that the Steelers will just hit him with the transition tag next year and match whatever offer he gets. Teams will be reluctant to offer him big money bc all they will be doing is negotiating on behalf of the Steelers. This was the issue with Kirk cousins this past year

I would've thought Big Ben struggled with the English vocabulary.

Not to mention he ran behind a pretty decent O-Line top 3 on many lists.

Most teams split their RB duties. They do that because trans know RBs are pretty interchangeable. Some ( like Bell ) get the lions share of the work. That leads to more touches this more overall production. That doesnt make them substantially better. It just means they get more opportunity . Its weird all the Steeler fans here who say they dont want to pay Bell big but then in the next breath get upset when you say they're right.

There's no way they try to tag him again in 2019... That would cost them around $25mil. No team in their right mind would tie up that much money with a franchise QB still under contract. That's like having to pay 2 franchise QBs at once. The only way I see that being a remote possibility is if Ben retires and they want to limp through 2019 with a developing QB like Mason Rudolph.

Not to take anything away from Bell, but this fact is often overlooked. His running style takes incredible chemistry with his O-line. I'll be very curious to see how he does behind a subpar O-line like with the Jets or Dolphins.

But in Bell's mind, its PIT that won't be the same without him. Both sides of that argument are true. But the odds of the Steelers getting by without him & learning a new offensive dynamic are much greater than Bell entering another subpar offense and having the same level of success.... Facts
