The Big 12 is a more competative conference than most people seem to think.
Spead offenses with tempo making it harder to defend against. Defenses that are a smaller and faster (no real heavy sets like other conferences) to deal with those offenses make for a different playstyle. Top it off with a round robin season where they play everyone and unlike the ACC or SEC they play nine conference games. I would put the Big 12 up against any other conference and top to bottom it would hold it's own or better (except for maybe Kansas).

You might have a point except Oklahoma has won the last three conference titles and looks to do it again. The Big12 is Oklahoma MASSIVE GAP then everyone else.

Agree, the biggest thing that the Big12 is missing is for Texas to be what Texas SHOULD be nationally and that may or may not FINALLY be in the works (FTR I believe that they are on the way with the Herman and Del Conte hires, great moves imo).
IF Herman can get Texas there and Riley can KEEP OU there, conference will be equal or > the BIG and SEC in any particular year but again, the blue blood has to be a blue blood and not a 7-8 win team on the regular.
