And in the end, if this GS core stays together, it may just put an end to the LBJ/Jordan talk for good. LeBron still needs 1 more highly impressive ring to get there in most people's minds. His window won't stay open forever and GS may be embarking on a Bulls like run.

It will get very tricky to keep the core 4 together with any semblance of a bench after next season. So it might just be a 2 peat for the KD version of the Ws. It'll be interesting.

As long as ownership is willing to spend well into the luxury tax threshold every year to keep the team together, I don't see it being a problem.

There will always be ring chasing vets willing to sign for less and trade deadline buyouts who want to play for a contender. Bob Myers won't have a problem finding complimentary pieces unless they start pinching pennies.

After this year it will.

As of right now it doesn't.
so this is another quote of yours

"Lebron James would respectfully disagree with you. He's at the point of his career where the regular season means nothing. His seasons are title or bust. This has been the case since 2008 or 2009 for him"

what makes it diferent in LA than it was in Cleveland?

In a fighting mood today?

What makes it different is at the moment he does not have another top 30 or 40 player on his roster. The first time since he left Cleveland in 2010.

all right. I have no problem with your explanation....its not about LeBron - its about his teammates.

So in order it to be "title or bust" with LeBron, you have to put a good team around him, which they did in Cleveland, but have not yet done in LA?

DJ just said that this Lakers team around LeBron is better than Cleveland's team last year around LeBron.

so the Cavs supporting cast around LeBron was good enough to make it "title or bust"- but the supporting cast around LeBron in LA is not as good as Cleveland, so its not "title or bust"....I see.

Basically.

I actually don't think last year was title or bust for Lebron once they dismantled the original team. Wouldn't have surprised me at all if they didn't make the finals with the roster they had after those trades.

If Kyrie had been playing the Cavs definitely do not make the Finals last year.

LOL why doesn't Wiggy give this post a bullshit tag?

He's an idiot.

Celtics without Kyrie or Hayward forced a game 7 and had a 4th quarter lead. You're out of your mind if you think the Celtics lose that series with Kyrie

They have better young talent than the Cavs.....that's a fact, Jack.

Who would you rather have? Honestly, Wiggy....

Sexton, Clarkson, Hood, Nance, Osman, Zizic?

or

Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart, Wagner, Zubac?

The difference? The Lakers play in the stacked WC. But, they most likely win 45-50 games next season. The Cavs in the WC? Might win 25.

the Suns even have better "young talent" then either team- but that hardly means that team has the best players to surround LeBron with.

I would hope that the Lakers would have better young players than the Cavs after a half decade of losing. Just because they have better young talent certainly does not mean they have the best talent to compete in the playoffs this season.

Are you forgetting the cavs had THREE number one picks not too long ago?

Anthony Bennet
Kyrie
Wiggins

And what have you got left after drafting those guys?

Kevin Love
Larry Nance
Jordan Clarkson
