Bold home run derby prediction

Before I state it, I'd like to say that his participation is the reason why this will be the first Home Run Derby I've had any interest in watching since I was a kid.

But I'm gonna go ahead and predict that Freddie Freeman gets shutout tonight.

I honestly can't think of a worse candidate for the home run derby.

I've watched Freddie Freeman take batting practice 100 times and I've never seen him hit a homer in batting practice. Dansby Swanson has never seen Freddie Freeman hit a batting practice homer. Freddie Freeman himself has said it has been 3 years since he's hit a batting practice homer.

Freddie Freeman is working on his swing to left-center every time he take batting practice, which is probably why he's so good against the shift.

Really if Freddie has a good showing tonight, I'm gonna have concerns about his swing coming back from the break.

Nationals Park is such a forgettable "meh" stadium.

It is not a dump, but there is just nothing whatsoever noteworthy or memorable about it.

That backdrop of cranes and half-finished buildings makes it look even worse for this HR derby.
