its the damn truth, most tagged players who leave suck
Steelers are one of the best in the business when it comes to contract negotiations. They know Bell's worth and are being more than generous with their offers.

Same as it was last year...Bell is the problem, not the Steelers.

Yea that's bullshit......just bell trying to save face again, and Ian Rapport is nothing but a jockstrap dangling douche bag who has no clue of what football is about.

Fuck the both of them.

Agent: 2018 likely Bell's last season as a Steeler

Well, it's been a roller coaster 5 years to say the least. I hate that we didn't get a deal done. I hate that he will be wearing a different uniform come 2019. But I also hate how Bell handled this situation, especially through his social media. This was made so much harder than it needed to be. That falls 100% on him. I hope he has a great season this year, I hope he helps bring #7 to Steeler Nation, but, and don't be too surprised when I say this, I feel like a huge weight will be lifted from the team and the fans shoulders when somebody else pays him the money he's asking for. I've been a huge backer of his since day one and I still think we are a better offense with him than without him, but it's been a toxic two years with him when football is not being played. I thank him for his contributions on the field. I don't think we would've been as good if we didn't have him. But I now look forward to the future and I wish nothing but the best for him wherever he goes, hopefully not to Cleveland, Cincinnati or Baltimore. I just hope that whatever our solution for RB is in 2019 serves us well and we as a fan base and organization don't completely regret not getting him signed.

Statement on Le'Veon Bell
Steelers General Manager Kevin Colbert on Le’Veon Bell

Even though we could not reach a long-term contract agreement with Le’Veon Bell, we are excited he will be with the team in 2018. We worked very hard to find common ground, but we were unable to accomplish that prior to today’s deadline. Le’Veon will play this season under the Exclusive Franchise Tag designation.

After the 2018 season is completed, we again will attempt to work out a long-term contract with Le’Veon in the hope that he will continue his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Translation.......

We tried with Bell, but he is a oversized egotistical prick. Regardless to what he thinks he is owed, we own his ass for one more year.

Next year we'll toss him a bone, I'm sure he won't like it, but go be a millionaire somewhere else. We are the Pittsburgh Steelers, not the Le'veon Pittsburgh bells. We are a team of champions.
