exactly.

We had Paul George, actually on record say, "Trade me to LAL".

We have nothing from Kawhi.

and even though Paul George told Indiana "I am not resigning with you, I want you to trade me to LA"- he of course was traded to OKC, and then when given the opportunity to play in his hometown with LeBron, said "no- i am staying in OKC".
Players will say anything when they want to be traded - It's like a bad marriage and when you're walking out the door - You curse your soon to be ex-wife out because you know in your heart she is going to take you to court and fuck you out of most of your money

i dont think Ballmer really cares to be honest.

Its not like he owns the Clippers to make money. Its his expensive toy. Shit, if they told him you could make X millions more by moving the franchise to X location- hed probably say NO because its a longer drive time. lol....

he doesnt give 2 flying fucks how much money the Clippers make him. Its his hobby.
At first I have some hopes for Ballmer as a new owner - but now I think of him as marginally better than the Sterling dude. The biggest difference is everyone knew Sterling was both a slumlord and racist for decades.

If Boogie shows he's healthy.....I wouldn't mind signing him to a 3 year max deal.....through the end of James contract.

James and Cousins would be an interesting duo.

If Boogie didn't have the attitude issues, sure. Now he's got another chip on his shoulder to go along with all the previous issues; I'd rather keep him far away from the Lakers' young core.

His attitude issues were when he was much younger if I remember correctly.

He'll soon learn the error of his ways, lol.

after Paul Allen, Ballmer is probably the richest owner in the NBA.

As far as ownership goes- that is a huge plus in his corner for me. (i) Does he have money? and (ii) Will he spend it? I think Ballmer has shown that he has both.

Sterling was a cheap scumbag.

You don't think the entire league giving him the cold shoulder is going to bring that back? He has never been a winning player either; we'll see how that goes this year.

next offseason there are a lot of big time free agents.

Butler, Irving, Leonard, Klay etc....

id put Cousins a complete rung or two below those other guys on the ladder.

He is still a guy I would try and sign, but make no mistake, he is not near on the level of a Butler or someone like that at this point.

There are a lot of quesiton marks about Cousins. His work ethic, his injury history, his ability to get along with teammates, how much he cares about winning etc.

He is still a remarkably talented player, but i do not count him as a 1st tier free agent. I think its pretty clear his value is not of a top tier player and not a lot can change that anytime soon.

I think you're right - though - I think The Clippers was more of a toy - the dude took the billion dollars or so out of the bank and went straight into escrow without even blinking

The Ballmer owned Clippers need to move to Seattle and I literally can't think of a single reason why they don't. The league should force them to.

I lived in Seattle for 18 months and it was amazing the growth that city saw in that time.

It be bat shit retarded to not put a franchise back in that city.

Cousins won't even be ready to play til February and you know how that can get pushed forwarded. Personally - I think the Lakers were smart to pass on him - He might not be ready until the October of 2019 for all we know

Yeah I don't know how anyone could say that Ballmer was just marginally better than Sterling. Not being a racist and a cheapass already makes you leaps and bound better as an owner (and human being) - which Ballmer is. I just think Ballmer publicly comes across as an idiot, but that's a whole different discussion.

Are you claiming responsibility for that growth?

On your many free agents next summer - I think the Lakers success will depend on IF LEBRON really has changed his game to accommodate other players in a better team orientated atmosphere - If he does that - I think there will be a few agents that will be excited to come and play with him

We had quotes directly from PG that he told the Pacers he wanted to be traded to the Lakers.

We have heard exactly nothing from Kawhi directly.

Of course, we have seen that even though PG told the Pacers he wanted to be dealt to the Lakers, he signed elsewhere after staying a season in OKC.

Its kinda crazy.

We do, but PG was never very adamant about it. He was also quoted as saying that he was a Clippers fan growing up and that he just wanted to be in LA.

Then, almost as soon as his plane landed in OKC, he started saying how he was blown away by his reception from the fans and organization.

I think the deciding factor was Westbrook finally figuring out that "I don't recruit" isn't the best policy if you want to have other really good players stay on your team.

Kawhi seems much more adamant, but none of those quotes are directly from him. lol

Agree. It's crazy. At this point, I'm not sure what Kawhi thinks he has to gain by not coming out himself and saying exactly what he wants.

Yeah. The only thing I'd add to this is that he is/was a top tier talent. Unfortunately, he has never had a top tier brain.

If he can get back to, say 90% of what he was before the injury, he could still be considered a top tier talent. But unless the Warriors can fix his brain...

I can.

If they went to Seattle they'd become the Sonics again and I'd have to respect them.

Ain't no way the clipps would get respect from me no matter what you call them :D
