You read that Sherman piece saying basically the organization hates Andujar?
I did....not sure what to believe.....The only thing about his game that bothers me is his OBP.....

He's definitely a free swinger who frustrates ya with how many walks he could have

Surprised by the defensive metrics, I love his D

The great part about this for baseball is that if the Indians or Astros ended up going to the Series would anyone really be surprised?

Probably not, both are good enough to win a short series against NY and/or Boston.

They say that he has limited range to his left.....I don't know how they come up with these numbers because how many different plays can you assume that another 3rd baseman makes based on completely different circumstances.....I realize that the "elite" fielders make the spectacular plays, but I've always liked what I've seen so far from Andujar.....

Where does Gregorious go if the Yanks get Machado, 3rd base?

should be the other way around. Machado hasn't been a good defensive shortstop.

So he's Jeter 2.0.

They should just tell him he's moving back to 3rd and to sign his insane contract.....

With all the ridiculous shifts, I don't even know how often he plays the traditional 3rd base

So he's Jeter 2.0.

Really the irony here is pudding like consistency.

Yankees hate Andujar despite hitting well because only Jeter is allowed to have limited range.

Same organization loves Bird because. . . .he's the next Adam Dunn?

I think Beltran's the most intriguing name thrown around by far, but I'm not sure he'll get the call given his lack of experience. He's always been highly touted as a clubhouse leader and he was a good player in St. Louis.

I had no problem with the Boone hiring, but the Beltran rumors had me really excited for the reasons you mentioned

Yanks don't hate Andujar, Cash just loves Drury

I always worry about players with low walk rates especially after Middlebrooks not panning out. Andujar does make more contact and strikes out less than Middlebrook did, but he's swinging at a lot more outside pitches than Will ever did.

Yeah it's definitely frustrating

Big spot yesterday, struck out on a full count pitch over his head

Joel Sherman said many executives in the"inner circle" aren't big fans of Andujar

They pay way too much attention to OBP in some cases. The kids OPS is over 800 and is an extra base machine.
