It was in golf, unfortunately for Cowboys fans. Amateur golf.

Does it count though?

Romo was good in golf even when he had played in the NFL.

And to think he's within one sports championship of Eli.

This actually was not an amateur event. Romo simply chose to turn down the prize money because he has aspiration of qualifying for the US Amateur Open which is happening this week all over the country.

I think the prize money for Tahoe is 100k or so .

This is correct. He could have gotten paid but he wants to win the U.S. Amateur Open to get to the U.S. Open.

He should be... He's had plenty of time to practice.

If Eli gets in and Romo doesn't, the HOF is meaningless.

You may have a valid point and I really can't argue against it but..... Eli has a lot more playoff wins and two SB rings.

So?

If there was a HOF for whole teams rather than individual players, those Giants teams would easily be in.

Well the media sucks the nuts of all things Manning so when it comes time to vote they will try to use his 2 SB's as justification.

I am not advocating that Eli gets in. I don't think he belongs as well but the way the voting goes these days the criteria is all about the media liking you or not.

If Eli gets in and Romo doesn't, the HOF is meaningless.

Let's see, Eli has multiple playoff wins, 2 AFCCG's and 2 SB wins against the top dog both times...
Romo has 1 playoff win in his career and never sniffed a SB, then was forced to retire or be cut for a rookie...
Yeah I can see that !!!!:rolleyes2::scratch::crazy:
