I was at a movie, just got home. Is Shark hurt?

Nah Bochy correctly pulled him for a PH early. Then your buddy came in and struck out 5 of 6.

4 innings 4 runs, 5 innings no runs. Crappy pitching by the usually reliable Watson, but terrible hitting.

They drew a bunch of those walks you are always telling them to....

From the Athletic today:

That brings us to the reason the Giants were using a pinch hitter in the fourth inning.

Jeff Samardzija was not right, and there was no hiding it.

Samardzija struggled to hit 90 mph at times and everything was elevated. During one sequence in the second inning, Buster Posey went for a mound visit. One pitch later, Posey was back on the mound with pitching coach Curt Young forming a party of three. Something clearly was wrong. Derek Holland warmed up in the third and again in the fourth.

After the game, manager Bruce Bochy could only soft-shoe for so long:

“Sometimes if there’s some stiffness there, it takes you a hitter or two to get the arm loose to where it needs to be,” Bochy said. “That looked like it could’ve been the case tonight.”

Samardzija also acknowledged experiencing more of the shoulder issues that became insurmountable in the spring and led to two stints on the disabled list.

Dude's hurt. Shut him down for the rest of the year.

Just went back on the DL with shoulder stiffness or something. He admitted after the game that he's still having trouble getting his shoulder loose.

Plan is for him to rest and see if he can bounce back.

Call me cynical, but if that didn't work the first two times, how are we suppose to expect it to work this time? Something is wrong.

Agreed....and the obvious choice to replace him in the rotation is......

Hmmm, it looks like jul20 has every game as free game of the day. Maybe it's a mistake.

edit: well shit, upon further investigation it looks like that whole friggin weekend is.

Anyone who has the app, or cares about out of market games already pays for the service, though, I would think. Who cares which games are “free”?

It is $120 a year. A REAL Giants fan wouldn’t bat an eye...
I kept telling myself next year. Now I'm on a fixed income. I'm trying to regain motion in my shoulder so I'm doing PT 3day/wk. the bills haven't hit yet but a call to blue cross revealed they are being billed $400/visit. I won't be paying near that but still...

The last time I was here Livingston was rehabbing from his knee blowout.

That was what, 7, 8 years ago?
