Phillies gave up on him. Took him off 40 man roster. Davis was his replacement.

I think the kid had potential but as you stated Northeast, the Phillies gave-up on the guy and sold him to Tampa. Where is all of the normal Phillies "seasoning"? If we are always in need of pitchers, developed or otherwise, why not develop the kid and season him to the point of being an effective major league pitcher. Apparently they needed the cash more!
