Yankees have gotten pretty good work out of German and Jonathan Lasagna considering.

Lasagna had mediocre stats in AA gets called up and pitches well in the majors. While Jalen Beeks is top 5 in most categories in AAA gets called up and gets shelled.

German has much better stuff than Loaisiga, but a shit ton to learn about pitching. Just leaves the ball right in the middle of the plate, regardless of the count. And if his stuff isn't quite as biting as normal, then you get disasters like yesterday.

This rotation is wacky. Gray takes a step up, German goes backwards. Irritating.

But definitely hammers home that if they're going to compete with Houston and/or Boston the next few months and beyond, they're going to need reinforcements in the rotation.

I think hitting away from home is legitimately as much a problem as their starting pitching

This is more than a blip now...Judge is one of their more important hitters and for 2 seasons now, he morphs into Alvaro Espinoza on the road

you can have 30 home runs and 100 RBI's and still have a bad season (look at Joe Carter, Tony Armas and Tony Batista), granted a 93 OPS+ isn't really bad for a catcher. Romine is a big dropoff.

Sanchez has a .194 BABIP, which is more than 100 points below what he had in 2016-17. He'll be fine.

Bit of an exaggeration. He had a .935 OPS on the road last year. This year, yeah, he's been lousy, but I'm not all that concerned. He's also getting jobbed by the umps again. At least 4 pitches called strikes on him this weekend that were nowhere close-as a result he's expanding his zone. He's best when he's walking all the time-umps are not letting him do that of late.

Yeah, his road line last year looked like a Giambi line (Giambi was a .260/.404/.521 hitter in NY). I'd take that.

What sucks is he was just starting to smoke the ball again. Ah well, Romine is capable of holding down the fort.

Gardner and Hicks platoon in CF, Frazier the everyday LF for a good stretch

Walker DFA, Drury brought up to either take over first, split time, or spark Bird

These are easy ones IMO

Yeah, he gets screwed on the regular because he's a freaking hulk. But it's on him to recognize and not start swinging at shit he can't do anything with.

I'm over Walker. He's been a capable hitter in previous stops, but he's just not going to play enough in NY to get into a groove. If he can't hit only playing a few days a week, then this isn't the place for him. I'm sure Cashman is trying to see what he can get for him as we speak.

Bird I don't know. Love the guy, but he just looks totally lost up there right now.

I think the Yanks may attempt to trade Bird this summer for immediate help. IE he'd be part of a package to acquire help for the Yanks. Bird, Frazier and a prospect for a pitcher perhaps?

Possible, I just think anything that includes Frazier needs to be better than Happ or Hamels

Happ because of his age and rental status

Hamels because of the salary they would take on

Not my wish, all the Sanchez haters are gonna miss him when they see what type of everyday offensive player Romine is......Sanchez was still roughly on a pace of 30HR and 100 RBI with all his troubles
And has power very few have....Can change game with one swing......
