Is beating a PAC team supposed to be a big deal?
Was this the dog?

I got 3 Tiers:

Tier 1: Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin
Tier 2: Michigan State, Penn State
Tier 3: The rest

I can't decide who wins out of Tier 1, I did say Wisconsin would go undefeated which could happen. OSU should have every bit the running game of Wisconsin with Dobbins and Weber. But Michigan could have the best defense in the country and a promising QB. Today I'm going with Defense and Maize and Blue. If Michigan can survive the East plus Notre Dame and Wisconsin(regular season) and the CCG with 1 or no losses, they have what it takes to win it all. Defense wins championships as my grandpa taught me.

Michigan and Penn St should switch tiers. As much as it pains me, the conference is Ohio States to lose.

This is how it plays out:

  1. Wisconsin
  2. Ohio State
  3. Penn State
  4. Nebraska
  5. Michigan State
  6. Michigan
  • then one more
  • then the bottom half
Nebraska probably isn’t even in the top half yet. Give Frost some time, the talent isn’t there yet, and they get Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State in their cross division games. Short of switching Penn State for Michigan; you can’t get a tougher draw.

Why isn't Michigan getting any credit? They had the #3 defense last year with almost everone returning. And now they have a QB.

Mediocre offensive line.... Michigan QB's gonna take a lot of heat.

Maybe your right here is how Athlon ranks Michigan's units in the Big 10.

QB-6, RB-3, WR/TE-5, OL-10, DL-2, LB-1, DB-1

Michigan’s O-Line ranked 115th in QB sack percentage. If you want to chalk that up to O’Korn trying to make things happen with his legs, fine, but Patterson is supposed to also be that way. They were young last year on the O’line but so was Michigan State who gave up sacks at half the rate, with a quarterback who will tuck the ball down pretty quick.

I expect Patterson to leave/miss multiple games due to injury this upcoming season and Peters last year showed he can’t handle the playbook and Harbaugh refuses to change it up for him. McCaffrey will be a red shirt freshman but again with that porous Oline and his skinny size, will he be able to take the hits and survive.

Warinner was a good pick up but will one offseason be enough to get a young line to pickup his teachings. You can have the best QB in the world but if he is spending 1 our of 11 plays tackled for a loss or injured, he isn’t going to be of much use to you.

The offense can be just better than average with a top 3 defense. Maybe their below average IDK. I value defense a little more than offense I guess. They won like 9 games last year with a horrible offense. Harbough just needs to figure out how to win the important rival games.
