Lebron's spokesperson, Brian Windhorst, says it is going to come down to the Cavs or the Lakers.

Drafting Sexton helps. It’s the guy he wanted. A fierce competitor and talented scorer. I like him

Be glued to the tv jerking off to all the talking heads stroking his ego saying he's so great while debating where he might end up?

No it doesn't. You think Sexton is going to dramatically improve the cavs?

You do realise the Celtics and Sixers are going to be better than the cavs next season even if lebron does stay, right?

Miami Heat Lebron James really wanted Shabazz Napier too. How'd that work out?

It wouldn't be the worst move for LeBron to stay one more season with the Cavs, and head for free agency next year with a much better free agent class to build a team with.

Um....

Not sure about that.

Besides, if he wants LA, they won't have nearly as much space next summer. They can't let Randle walk if they strike out in FA. Randle might not be the most attractive trade asset either depending on what they have to pay.

Seriouslt, PG can stay in OKC.....we can just trade for Leonard and sign James then re-sign Randle. I'd prefer this.

Not sure I agree here. I think they could actually end up with more cap space than they have this year.

For them to sign 2 max guys this off-season, they have to either get Deng off the books or stretch him. Unless they can get someone to take Deng in a trade (unlikely) they will stretch him and renounce Randle.

However, if they don't sign any max guys, then they can re-sign Randle and sign some guys to Lopez/KCP type deals. Then next year, they can trade Randle and Deng's contract becomes an asset that can be traded because it will be expiring.

I do agree though, that in that scenario, they have to make sure they don't overpay Randle. I don't think they will.

Lebron's not relying on rookies. He said the exact same stuff about Shabazz Napier in 2014.

Maybe so but in this situation there is one other destination, LA, and if they dont get PG or Kawhi he would much rather sign another 1 yr deal with the Cavs. They need to make more moves but this is a good start even if they do trade Sexton

It's starting to look like Lebron may stay in Cleveland, and I said it was depending on George because I don't see Lebron going to LA by himself.

But Sexton has no bearing on Lebron's decision. Lebron wants to play with veterans, he doesn't care about rookies. Hell, a much better prospect in Wiggins was traded to get Love. You think Lebron cares about Sexton?

In other words, the Lakers need to get one more addition (George or Kawhi) and it's a done deal. If not, he may opt in/re-sign.
