It will just be a bonus if we are able to get anything of real value for him, besides a couple prospects with upside.

I felt the same for Pudge but he was not with the Astros. You have to be kidding me that you would root for the Astros to win a WS just because Beltre would be there. Now I know he won't be but I do draw a line in the sand.

I. only care about one team winning a WS and that is the Rangers. No matter who Beltre plays for, I want him to get a ring and not the team he is with at the time except the Texas Rangers. He has earned it.

Not sure I would root for the Astros to win again if my own son was on the team When Josh went to Halos it was borderline treasonous but me thinks he had undue wifely pressure

I understand how you guys feel. I just haven't developed the angst for the Astros at this point that some of you understandably have. Maybe it is because we beat them unmercifully for several years. Maybe it is because I haven't felt like we were going to win anything ourselves for the last few years while they have been better. Now, if we were on the level we were on 7 years ago and they were too that might make me feel a lot differently. I certainly felt that way about the Yankees in the mid to late 90s and that carried over for a couple of decades.

When the Rangers are in the shape they are in I have a hard time working up too much emotion either way about other teams.

I would be surprised if Beltre ok'd going to Philly as I just am not sure they can win a World Series this year. I know the NL is a little up in the air in a team really taking over as the team to beat.
