I don't think anyone in NE wanted to see Jimmy G leave. It was inevitable though. Most if not all of us wish him the best except when he plays NE.

Sure we'll be disappointed it if he's the next TB, so should every other team that didn't trade for him. If he turns out to be the next great QB I see 31 other teams and fan bases that should be kicking themselves in the junk. A lot of them that had cap space should be kicking the hardest.

I'll ask you the same question just worded differently that I asked Dirt who's too afraid to answer.

If JG becomes a mediocre QB for the rest of his career did NE make the right decision? You can define mediocre how ever you see fit?

Yes! and they would really look like studs if they took a QB next year and two and was out playing Jimmy

Yep especially if it's at the rookie salary.

Time will tell.

Again good luck Jimmy G

I'm not reading this garbage, but I'd caution anyone about getting in a discussion with Dirt, who simultaneously holds the following opinions:

1) Brady is an overrated bag of piss and Dirt would take 30 other QBs in the league over Brady (yes he actually once made this assertion). Pats owe their success to BB. End of story.

2) Oh no, the Pats to don't have a stud to replace Brady. Awesome quarterbacks are hard to find and letting Jimmy go is their doom because Jimmy is exceptional (he happens to be right that Jimmy is exceptional but that's besides the point). Pats will fail miserably without an elite quarterback.

This is called talking out of both sides of your mouth.

Unlike you, I know that SB wins are a team accomplishment

Brady has sucked in more postseason games than you care to remember, including a SB win with 140 yards passing

He has been carried in postseason wins, like EVERY great QB, more times than you know

You mean that game where lead them on a game winning drive in the final 2 minutes to win the game AND be named SB MVP? Is that the game you are referring to?

Bwhahaha

I felt even as a Pat that he would be great, his game reminds me so much of Rodgers

So borderline MVP every year type great

I wouldnt measure him by SB's, too many variables, and that team is far from complete

Hahaha.

Ok, first I’ve bookmarked this (jimmy G reminds you of Aaron Rodgers!). Hahaha. It’s amazing that you can draw this comparison from watching him basically hold a clipboard for 4 years and win 5 meaningless games at the end of a meaningless regular season. Haha. Ok... we’ll see how right you are.

Now for the answer to your question: yes if Jimmy G plays like Aaron Rogers, it was a mistake to get rid of him. Let’s see if that happens. If it doesn’t I’m suuuuuure you will be on here saying “oops... I was wrong. Pats made a good move keeping Brady!”

Smart people know they will never stop winning that division

Super Bowls wins are a thing of the past tho

Belichic did both years Brady didnt start 6-9 vs the AFCE and 0 playoffs. Garrop might be good but he lasted 6 Q's here before he got injured , threw what 7tds/5 int in SF and played in a Div 2 school. Hope he does well, but too early to tell shit

Oh God, please don't go to Houston... The NFL Media will BLOW up that Houston is a LOCK for the Super Bowl and Watson will be the next Brady, blah blah blah. Still blows my mind last year (and this for that matter) that everyone thought Watson is the second coming of Christ or something.

Not rooting against the kid, but let's see a couple seasons first? I do think he can do well though... his mechanics in the few games he did play were very good.

Cool, let me know when you think Eli won both SB's for the Giants for "Leading 2 game winning SB drives" and being a 2 time SB MVP

Thanks

Dont forget the 3 games where he started for the Pats, went 3-0 because "Brady is so important"

Did he finish all three?

Haha

Ok... so add 2.5 games Plus holding a clip board for 4 years and winning 5 meaningless games.

Don’t worry. Season starts in a few months and we will see if he looks anything like Aaron Rodgers.

Cause when Gronk is traded, Tommy is going to throw a fit and walk away.....

Come one man keep with the topic.....
And that did not happen so that makes zero sense.

History tells us that once a franchise QB retires/moves on/gets injured, the franchise hits some dark days

Exceptions being the Packers with Favre, the Niners with Montana, could have been the Colts with Manning

Pats had that chance, but they traded the next Aaron Rodgers because the "Im all about the team" guy wanted him off the team
History also tell us QBs can't play to 45, that one team with one QB would never win 5 SBs together or make it to 8 SBs, or that no team can win the division 9 years straight, but it all happened. While I night agree it will be next to impossible to replace Brady, to proclaim that the organization would suck for the long term is a reach.

Football is new to him.

in 3,2,1 Racer tells us he's been a fan since 76 going to games in a sold out kingdome:lol:
And the back up Hoyer came from the Pats system, and you can bet Josh will develop a game plan that benefits his skill set.

Tom Brady is 40 years old, not 45, so history is still right

Ive liked Jimmy since Day one, time will tell if im right or wrong, his game, his style, reminds me of Rodgers, his accuracy on the move, a very rare skill not many QB's are able to master

Of course its more a "Prediction" than based on actual results, but the Niners seem to agree with me, they gave the guy 400 Gazillion dollars
