There is no possible way they get either, much less both. Might as well ask if the Magic trade for the Warriors' big 4, would they be the favorites?

They can get one but both is likely impossible

you know many stories I read that Kevin Love was just counting down the days to his free agency before he definitely went to the Lakers?

The same with Paul George and now we hear he might resign in OKC- or that there is at least a significant non-zero chance that he will (id ballpark it at about 35-40% he resigns in OKC).
Yep. No one knows anything, it's fun to speculate but there will be plenty of surprises, like KD to the Warriors, or CP to the Rockets.

I think the Browns have a better chance of going 11-5 than Kawhi & Kemba ending up in a Cavs uniform next year.

They are going 11-5 regardless lol. Best WR corp in the NFL!!!

Hey I hope you're right. But my expectations for the Browns are so low right now I'd settle of a 5-11 season.

Indiana had little interest in Paul George trade w/ Lakers -- and that'll be case for Spurs too. Boston gives Spurs best building blocks of assets -- one of young forwards (likely Jaylen Brown), its own 18 pick/19 protected Kings pick, etc. Lonzo to Spurs? Don't hold your breath.

If Kawhi Leonard does become available in trade talks, the Boston Celtics will be interested in probing the Spurs about a deal, league sources tell ESPN. Boston inquired about a trade prior to the February deadline, sources said.

Sources: So far, Leonard has expressed nothing directly to Spurs about future. Lakers and Clippers interest Leonard -- and both teams would move quickly to assemble packages to acquire Leonard. Spurs won't rush. Leonard and his camp had shown interest in $219M super max deal.

And? None of that impacts next summer, other than Woj's statement that LA interests Leonard (and it has been reported elsewhere that his preference is Lakers). The Lakers don't have to trade to get Kawhi.

...and why would either of those teams give the Spurs much if Kawhi can leave next summer to go wherever he wants (reportedly the Lakers)?

very true.

If you want to wait....if the Spurs dont sign him to a supermax, or if the Spurs dont trade him to a contender like Philly or Boston or etc. that sign him.

If Kawhi wants to wait, play this season on his current contract even though he has had a serious injury and will be offered a huge deal by either the Spurs or whoever trades for him- he can without a doubt wait it out and sign with the Lakers for a regular max and not the supermax that the Spurs cna give him.

chances of that happening? I will let you come to that conclusion.

for the same reason the Cavs gave plenty for Kevin Love even though there were plenty of rumors he wanted to sign in LA.

You get a guy- can pay him the most money, put him in a winning situation, and make him comfortable- and all of a sudden going to a new team for less money does not quite look as attractive as it used to.

I was quoting Josh Gordon. They definitely have a ton of talent at WR. Duke is basically a WR. 80 receptions last year

Quoting a pot head may not be the best idea lol. They have tons of talent, but Coleman has been disappointing, Gordon is a joint short of retirement, Callaway is a similar problem to Gordon (who could hurt or help, depending on where his mind is), and of course Landry is borderline elite.

The LA rumors for Love were always weak. If Kawhi hears that Lebron is going to LA, you don't think he's going to put it out there that he will only re-sign in LA?

they are loaded at WR that is for sure.

Gordon, Landry, Coleman, Njoku, Duke is one of the best receiving backs in the league.......who knows if it will actually amount to anything but there is no doubt there weapons are fairly considerable.

Jarvis Landry, Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman at WR
Carlos Hyde, Nick Chubb, and Duke Johnson at RB
David Njoku at TE

If I had a gun to my head and had to pick the place where MOST LIKELY for Leonard to play both long and short term it is still far and away the Spurs at this point.

As David Griffin said--- until Leonard tells Pop and Buford face to face that he wants to move on- the Spurs are without a doubt the most likely spot he plays at.

It's very well known that Leonard is very shy. He may not want such a confrontation. They definitely need to get this discussed somehow though, and preferably for both sides before the draft.

If I was really shy i dunno if i would be clamoring to go from San Antonio to Los Angeles.

That's his hometown. He grew up in Compton and went to college at San Diego State.

Just imagine; Kawhi coming back home, George coming back home, Lebron making LA his new permanent home...what a heart-warming story for the NBA.
