It's harder to draft stars in this league - this is the point I was making. In 4 years the Warriors drafted 3 all stars; one of which is a top 5 player that was on a favorable deal that allowed the Warriors to sign Durant within the cap.

was that the fours have four all stars on their team that they drafted. I counted

And the 4th player was Harrison Barnes. Not an allstar, but not a miss either.

Doesn't take away from what I said which is this

They signed some players along the way and made a few trades - 100% of that did not come from the draft - It normally takes all of that to get the championship team. The Warriors built their team from a combination of good drafts, signing and trading - all three. That was my point - Most teams need to do all three - The Lakers have drafted pretty good though, so the rest is possible in my opinion - I realize, however the Lakers haters like yourself are going to paint the worst picture possible and to wish it into happening

Durant, and probably Iggy too don't sign there if not for how well they drafted.

That's my point. Golden St. is lightning caught in a bottle. They're a combination of sound draft moves with some luck along the way. The irony is that if it weren't for Steph having ankle issues early on in his career, Golden State wouldn't be in the position they're in now. Because Steph playing like this before signing his rookie extension, would've received max value which would not have allowed them to sign Durant under the cap. It also likely would've allowed Lebron a possible split if not series lead with the Warriors in these last 4 years.

But the above was my point in trying to duplicate what Golden State essentially did - you need a lot of luck to go your way along with drafting your star players while making key free agent decisions.

Regardless, I don't care how my team gets titles so long as they get them.

I have been saying for months that he might stay and that the Thunder will give him the max.

The Lakers need to land a good to great player at the start of Free Agency or they might miss on George and LeBron.

I said it last week....

I honestly don't think you get one without the other.

It's going to be both or neither.

Lakers better hope what his girl and parents want plays a huge role in his decision.

Imo.....Westbrook hasn't learned his lesson about alienating Dudes on the court.
