From that article:

A second-round pick of the Jets in 2016, Hackenberg is the third QB drafted in the first two rounds in the common draft era not to play an NFL game in his first two seasons. The last to do it was Jim Kelly, but he played in the USFL at the start of his career.

Can't even use the XFL or another league as his excuse.

Believe it or not that is Artie Lange from the Howard Stern show!!

He’s really gotten bad these last few years. He got arrested a while back and the judge gave him ONE last shot at treatment. He used the “I’m the only financial support my mother has” argument. Judge bought it but said if he violates the terms of his release or gets popped again he’s going to jail.

Only a matter of time I’m afraid. Great radio talent. Can’t believe he’s survived this long given how long his drug habit has been

Yeah he fell on hard times yet again. A few years back he tried "stabbing" himself and recently looking more like Jeff the Drunk than Jeff the drunk is.

NOTE: Talking about Artie Lange is much more interesting than Hackenburg.

Howard stern is 100% the reason I don't have XMSirus. I will never pay for a service that in return pays him. I can not stand him. I gave him a year when he was on regular radio and then learned that he is just a bad person.

I do understand that people like him but he rubs me the wrong way.

I have to imagine that if any team gives him a shot, it'll be the Texans. Bill O'Brien is the only coach who knows how to get anything out of him.
